Chap. 26 Herb finding

There was a sound of something being tapped on glass. "Breakfast everyone! Sorry it took long but Breakfast!" Blue said as everyone got up and went to the dining area to sit and eat. "Awww come on...." Fell said as he paused his game grumbling a bit, Cross offered his hand to you, as you blushed and fiddled with your hair as you gently held his hand, he guided you to the table as you sat down between Cross, and Killer. On the other side of the table sat Nightmare, Horror, and Error. You turned your head to notice that Dream was sitting all the way on the other side next to Sans, and Fell,

everyone was eating eggs and bacon...........peacefully?....you couldn't really tell since well, looking around you could see how other strained a bit you could say this whole situation was really awkward....No one was speaking....You ate your food as you observed on how some of the skeletons ate there food, Horror would just inhale his food, as he got up to get a second plate, Nightmare was reading a book as he used two of his tentacles to cut the food formally as he ate, you noticed that both Nightmare and Horror had canine's except Horrors were bigger, it reminded you of the time where you found him in his room having one of his 'moments' and how you gave him some of your blood to help calm him. You looked at Error as he ate his food normally just like all the others. Your eyes light up as you remembered something.....you forgot to ask Dust about the scarf you found....the thought just randomly crossed your mind somehow...as you tried to hide your surprise but failed as Cross seemed to have caught it.

"Is....something wrong y/n?" Cross asked with some concern as Blue groaned a bit. "Awwww I knew it! Sorry human.... there might have been some bits of leftover eggs shells in your food...." Blue said sincerely as you shook your head. "Oh no...I um...just remembered something was all." you said as you took the last bite of your food. "Your cooking taste amazing....thank you Blue.." you said quietly as you saw Blue had some blueish hue cover his cheek bones. "O-Oh....why thank you human..." Blue said a bit embarrassed as he coughed a bit, you frowned slightly as you remembered Blue at the hotel telling you that he was speaking more quietly than usual was because his voice was hurt....you wondered if there was some way to help him...

"Human.......are you done finishing your food hmm?" Nightmare said as he raised a brow at you and you nodded. "yep...so umm.....where do I go for the training?" you said as Nightmare seemed a bit surprised. "hmmmm.....well did you finish the reading the entire book?" Nightmare asked her as she shook her head. "Hmmm...well report to me once you are finished...Okay?" What Nightmare said would have sounded like a command if the last part didn't sound a bit gentle. "Okay...." she said quietly as she got up to put her stuff away.

"I'll be in....um...my room reading..." She said as he walked upstairs. You didn't understand why everyone was acting a bit strange....even the normal actions they did at the table felt forced. Whatever was happening right now....you hoped would get better in the future...A few minutes go by after you were in your room reading as Sans let out a sigh. "So......shes gone....can we stop acting normal now?" Sans said as he had a frown on his face and Dream sighed. "Soooooo......we have to help y/n and then find shards so that we can get home?....huh....what a quest huh.." Killer said sarcastically as he slumped on the kitchen table with a groan.

"Can you not put your face goop on the table.....I just cleaned it..." Error said annoyed as Killer looked up at him lazily. "Oh.....well I assure you my 'Face Goop' has gone away a lot recently.." Killer said proudly as Error rolled his eye lights. "Also where is Dust?" Killer said as Cross sighed. "Why do you ask?...is it so you can find someone to bother hmm?" Cross said as Killer smirked at him. "Well nahh....he's just my good old pal is all....although I think he's still sleepin..." Killer said as Dream sighed. "Guys let us focus on what is important here right now." Dream said as his Brother scoffed at him.

"Look all were gonna do is quite simple.....were going to act all normal like nothing happened as to not freak her out....and then I will pretend to teach her 'magic' when in reality....it is a way to push the evil force out of her...and then all shall be well..." Nightmare said bluntly as he took a sip of his coffee. "Now if you shall excuse me I shall be leaving.." Nightmare said as he melted away with his book and cup of coffee, even though Nightmare couldn't fully teleport he could muster just a bit of magic to allow him to become some type of sludge that can help him slid through small spaces.
