~3rd Person POV~

Percy woke up in the infirmary with a pounding headache. He groaned and sat himself up, meeting 3 pairs of eyes. 2 of them were new, and the other 1, he met yesterday.

Percy tried to focus on the 3 people at the end of the bed, but it was hard. His headache made everything blurry. He squinted, which helped a bit, and observed them.

The person on the left of the bed was a male, probably a year or two older than Percy. He wore a light blue Camp Half-Blood t-shirt and jeans. His hair, well... his hair looked as if it were made of pure gold. His eyes were pale, as if he was blind. He probably was, because he didn't look into Percy's eyes. He was looking at Percy's forehead.

The person in the middle was Lyre, wearing the same thing as yesterday. She smiled at Percy warmly, as if she were trying to say 'Good morning.'.

The person on the left was another male, but he looked the same age as Percy, not older. He wore the same outfit as the guy on the left, just with a yellow Camp Half-Blood shirt. He had brown hair and jade green eyes. All in all, he looked pretty normal.

"How did you guys get those colored shirts?" was the first thing Percy asked. "Is there another camp?!"

The guy on the left, the blind one, shook his head. "Not that I know of..."

"Oh." Percy responded. "So, who are you?"

"I'm Braydon, and the other guy is David." The blind guy, Braydon, said.

"DAVHID!" David introduced, not knowing Braydon already did it for him.

"He's deaf." Braydon explained. "And because of that, he can't speak well because he hasn't heard English or any language in a while."

"You're the only one of them who can speak?" Percy asked.

Braydon and Lyre nodded sadly.

"Are you guys siblings, or are you just friends?" Percy asked.

"We're not technically siblings, but we're always there for each other like siblings." Braydon explained. "They help me get past obstacles I can't get past, and I help them get past obstacles they can't get past." He smiled, but his gaze was at Percy's cheek.

Percy didn't really know how to respond, so he said "Wow, that's awesome."

"No kidding."

"I have another question." Percy started. "Why am I the only one, besides you and David, who can see Lyre?"

"Well, actually, no one can see us two either..." Braydon said, scratching the back of his neck. "And we think it's part of our curse."

"Woah, hold up." Percy said, making the 'stop' signal with his hands. "You're all cursed?"

Braydon and Lyre nodded.

"By who?"

"We don't know. One day, we just woke up like this." Braydon shrugged. "It's kind of like the Fates hate us. I wanted to be a photographer, Lyre wanted to be a singer, and David wanted to be a doctor. I can't be a photographer because, duh, I'm blind and I can't see the things I'm taking pictures of. Lyre can't be a singer because she can't talk. And David can't be a doctor because, if he's doing a surgery, he won't be able to hear and understand the other doctors unless they use sign language, but that would take longer and the patient may not have enough time." He explained.

"That's just mean." Percy agreed afterward.

"I know right? I mean seriously?! You had to do it to the ones who had their hearts set on their careers?!" Braydon exclaimed, throwing his hands up.

"Wait, careers?" Percy asked. 'Demigods don't have careers. Mortals do.' He thought. "Are you guys mortals?"

"We thought so, but then we were teleported here. And we learned all about the demigod world." Braydon said. "If we are demigods, we have no idea who our parents are."

'They could be Nemesis's. Ethan lost his eye for his mom. Maybe Braydon sacrificed his sight, Lyre sacrificed her voice, and David sacrificed his hearing for her, without knowing.' Percy thought. 'No, no. How could they sacrifice that without knowing?'

Percy looked out the window and noticed it was still dark. "What time is it?"

Braydon looked at his wrist watch. "4:09 a.m."

"What?! I was out for 11 HOURS?!" Percy exclaimed.

Lyre nodded and then acted out, what it looked like to Percy, someone swinging a bat.

"Someone was playing baseball?"

Lyre facepalmed and then acted it out again, but this time, she hit Braydon in the head with the imaginary bat.

"Oh! The person hit me in the head!" Percy realized.

Lyre nodded and put her thumbs up.

"I didn't see it, because, well, I can't see anything." Braydon chuckled sadly.

Lyre pointed at Percy and then rested her head on her hands, as if she were trying to say 'You need to sleep.'.

"I've been sleeping for 11 hours, I think I'm good." Percy said, beginning to get out of the bed.

Lyre pushed him back down. 'SLEEP.' She mouthed with a stern looked on her face.

Percy huffed. "Fine." He said, sitting back down, trying to force himself to sleep.
