John is still unconscious and Sin lays by his side, wishing him to wake up.
Sin's POV:
"Come on! Come on. It's been 3 days! This, High Command, is being more ruthless of late"
After a few seconds after his words, a ear-piercing alarm activates with a robotic-like, pre-recorded voice comes on with a message.
Speaker's POV:
"ATTENTION ALL PERSONNEL. THE PURIFICATION PROTOCOL HAS BEEN INITIATED. PLEASE LOCATE THE NEAREST EXIT WITHIN THE NEXT 15 MINUTES"
Sin is spooked by this message and carries John on his shoulders.
Fire, Guns, Death.
The only things running rampart amongst the chaos. Sin continues running torwards the cave where Gootraxians can hide.
LLDF Solider's POV:
"Open fire! Kill them all!"
Bullets whizz pass Sin thankfully and continues trudging amongst the chaos with a heavy burden upon his shoulders.
Sin meets up with some other Gootraxians.
Sin's POV:
"Move! We got to get John into the safe zone! We need him!"
Sin's voice shocked the others because Sin is normally quiet. They looked at each other's heads and nodded, carrying John as if he was on a stretcher.
Sin maintains pace with them, whispering quietly to himself to continue his final words from earlier.
Sin's POV:
"I need him..."
The y make it through the gap but the gootraxian carrying John by the legs got shot.
Captain David's POV:
"Get the traitor!"
Captain David, Lieutenant Mark, Sergeant Brock and Private Aaron grab onto John's legs to drag him out of the safe zone.
Sin's voice broke out loudly like a shriek.
Sin's POV:
"You 3! Stop them dragging John away!"
The 3 nightcralwers nodded their heads and grabbed onto John in a attempt to fight the tug-of-war.
Suddenly the speaker broke again.
Speaker's POV:
"ATTENTION ALL PERSONNEL. PURIFICATION PROTOCOL WILL OCCUR IN 2 MINUTES"
Private Aaron seemed to express worry upon hearing that message.
Private Aaron's POV:
"Sir we shoul-"
Lieutenant Mark cut him off.
Lieutenant Mark's POV:
"Shut up! We got this!"
The 4 seem to be failing at their attempt but seem too stubborn to give up now.
Captain David's POV:
"Your coming with us traitor! We will..."
Suddenly they lost grip onto John as John kicked his legs, seemingly awake now. The 4 fall back as a familiar mochi closes the entrance to their safe zone.
David's attempts to grab his Rifle before a ear-piercing voice came on the loudspeaker.
Speaker's POV:
"PURIFICATION PROTOCOL INITIATED"
A blue-like mist pumps into the entire Goo Forest from the vents that just opened.
The mist immediately reacted aggressively to the touch of the squad's skin and their eyes, mouth, ears and nose were violently assaulted with extreme pain.
Private Aaron's POV
"AARRRGHHH!!!"
Aaron's ears started to bleed violently as Brock vomited up some blood before passing out, seemingly unconscious as his skin to peel and bleed more and more at rapid pace.
Lieutenant Mark screeched loudly as his eyes started to bleed and was rendered blind as he starts to cough up blood, probably because his lungs are burning, his sense of smell is replaced by the most grotesque smell ever, that so bad that he started to scratch off his nose to stop the smell.
Aaron soon couldn't feel his legs and couldn't even use them anymore. He hastily grabbed his sidearm to pull the trigger but suddenly he lost control of his arm as if it had a mind of its own amd dropped the gun and started to heavily punch his face and guts, causing him to cough up blood.
David felt queasy and felt as if every organ in his body were on fire. His brain's thought processes started to fail and progressively became more and more rabid.
David pulled out his sidearm and loaded the unconscious Brock the entire magazine before starting to violently beat up Aaron with the gun till Aaron's jaw broke and half his ribcage was fractured.
David soon pulled out Aaron's knife and repeatedly stabbed himself multiple times in the arteries.
Mark soon broke his nose as his entire body fails and falls down onto the ground, lifeless. He screamed as his face felt like it was melting before dying, 5 minutes later.
All the gootraxians were in horror as the sound of the squad died down, the entire process took 10 minutes.
Many of the Gootraxians faces read 'Even I would never wish that even upon my worst enemy' and 'Even we have our limits'.
Nightcrawler's POV:
"We didn't cause their pain, it was High Command's"
Everyone remained quiet and subtly nodded their heads.
