CHAPTER SEVEN

The weekend went by really fast. Some boy named Matt kept bugging me by knocking on my door to open it. But since he is a stranger, I didn't open it. I love being an only child and that means no siblings bothering you. It's great.

I look at my reflection in the mirror and I can't see why boys like me. Boys like Zack, Matt Wendt and maybe even Brian. I shook those thoughts from my head. I have to forget all of them. " they don't exist " I whispered to myself. " Sam time for school " I hear that boy Matt again. I climbed out the window. I don't want to run into THAT STRANGER. I make it safely down the tree next to our house. I can see Matt waiting for the school bus. Fuck it I'll ride my bike. I grab my purple bike and start pedaling down the street. Riding my bike helps me relieve stress. It really works because I just focus on riding. No thought of anything but riding. I love the wind blowing through my hair and the sun shining on me.

I really need to ride my bike more. I need to exercise I'm all out of breathe. I lock my bike on the bike rack in front of the school. I fucking dare someone to take it. I'll kill them! Nikki, where is Nikki? There she is.

"Hey, so what happened on your date with Zack? You didn't call me."I hugged her and felt tears starting to form. "Sweetie tell me what happened " she said rubbing my back. We sat down under a tree. I told her everything that happened from everything was going great between Zack and I to where Brian got inappropriate with me. She jumped up. "I'm going to kill him right now!" She said with rage. "NO !" I said fiercely. " and why the hell not?" she asked.

" Because I made a promise to myself. " I said quietly. "PROMISE! WHAT PROMISE?" She asked all confused. I made a promise to myself .......... To not get involved with any of my brother I mean Matt 's friend even Matt himself for not believing me " I said.

" oh " she said simply,sitting on the floor. " what about Zack? " she asked. " what about him?" I said in apathy.

"What do you mean what about him? He didn't do anything but take on a date and tell you that he likes you. He doesn't even know what happen. He doesn't deserve to be ignored. He likes you for crying out loud. He might even fucking love you and you are just willing to let him go. Tell him" she said. " no ! He wouldn't believe me anyway.my own brother didn't believe me. What makes you think that he will? " I said. " He is not your brother. You don't know if you don't try. If he believes you then good and if he doesn't just forget him and pretend you never met him in your life. Go tell him or I will." Nikki said with all seriousness.

" I'll go tell him after school." I told her telling the complete truth. " thanks" I said to her. " what for?" She asked. " for giving me confidence to tell Zack what happened." I said giving her a hug. " that's what friends are for. I always got your back Sam just like you have mine. I'LL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU NO MATTER WHAT" she said in my ear. The bell rang for everyone to get to home room.
