Here I am in a damn...

What is it called? University? What the hell man- these kinda studies shouldn't be here because this is just too much. Let an adult be an adult. For real. Doesn't matter though, because I'm on earth right now, in a class full of uni students. Yeah, I have to go there anyway in order to fit in with this whole ass crowd. I still have to hide my cat like features too because these damn humans are too judgemental.

Most neko on Earth are used as slaves, heck, there are slaves in every dark alleyway in this place. So much for having high level technology with built in safety features. Those safety features are also easy to get through if you're a smart ass like me; I know my coding and hardware stuff.

So there I was, feeling hollow inside as I listened to a professor explaining physics in a monotone voice. Yeah, most feel like physics is absolutely shit but if you know what you're doing, it actually gets fun. This lesson though, we had a boring supply who made us listen to everything he was saying and kept dragging each and every explanation, like an endless worm hole. Minutes took hours long to pass by and my boredom got so intense I was contemplating weather to leave or not.

Until the cue for the end of class came. Finally. I thought.

It's all over, ugh, what a disgusting lesson. So I made my way out of school as quickly as I could because I was too paranoid to speak to anyone. I don't know why but every single time I'd speak to another, it made me feel so wrong.

All because of what had happened there, Terra, Akuma.

Those names fuelled the dormant embers of rage in my veins. How did I know it was Akuma? Well, it's because I saw what was happening from a distance and I witnessed him blow our existence to shreds. Sometimes I even had the feeling Ari might be dead.

Oh Ari, that was the only person I'd ever seen as a trustworthy freind and crush. Though now? Now I don't even know if my ambitions with her will come true.

As I walked down the hallways of this rather vibrant university school, I heard my name being called out.
"NextGen!" I heard a female voice say. When I looked behind me, I saw a woman, most likely in her sixties, pale green eyes, white hair that looked rather neat for her age and she was quite petite. It was one of the teachers, a teacher named Mrs Kage.

"Yeah, Ma'am?" I asked in response. "I just uhm, wanted to talk to you about something" She answered with her 'old woman voice'. (It's what I'd call it).

"And about what?" I inquired again, this time sounding unamused, just to try and ward her off. "

"It's about your grades NextGen, they're not coming off that well" Mrs Kage answered, sounding a little impatient now. I also felt some weirdly amalgamated emotions flooding through me. Like a horrid mix of dread and sadness... and I felt it as she approached me.
Although she was smaller than me, she still slightly gave me a lingering tinge of fear.

That's when I realised it.

The look in Mrs Kage's eyes wasn't quite a normal one at all; it looked like you'd just opened an endless tunnel to an endless void. "We've finally found you Okami"

And I sprung into action.
