One long day...
It had been three months since the day I crash landed here. Let me also tell you, the land outside the island looks like hell. I'm not kidding, the landscape is a decimated city that once harbored many, many lives. I looked like it could've been a lively place full of amazing neon lights and sky-high buildings with a gleaming sunset on some days. It would've been amazing if it hadn't been for the war over this blade.
Apparently, this blade was forged by someone in the Kenchi Clan a long time ago when Chimera was just discovered, and then before Terra was discovered, the people of Earth came here. Though, a war would ultimately destroy everything.
The same fate seemed to repeat itself, unfortunately, over the same reason. "Looks like that same cycle is gonna go on forever if I don't kill him" I mused to myself in a mutter as I boarded Inari's boat on the coast. There was sea as far as the eye could see. Endless, restless waves of torrent that would shake the boat to its very core. Though, the boat still kept on, like it was a warrior with an undying will. I even had this boat sail through a storm, and surplringly, it did fare really well against such things. The boat itself was made from a rather durable wood that wouldn't break too easily. It had a very makeshift yet trusty sail, and it had two oars that looked as aged as Inari himself.
The boat itself as whole looked rather peachy in colour, and it didn't seem too makeshift at first glance due to how sturdy it looked. The outer parts had several patches of scrap steel drilled into the hardwood boards and some other scraps of iron or copper. The boats motor was made with a scrappy, skeletal looking fan. Those fans used to cool you down. And every time you'd go to the rear end of the boat, you'd hear this super, loud, obnoxious buzz accompanied the sound of the constant sizzle of water moving with it.
Now, why did it have a motor while it also had oars? Well, that simply gives you options to row it or to just set sail, which most of the time I'd never use my oars unless I'd see a shark and I'd begin to make it move faster. Trust me, sharks scare the bloody life out of me; one of them once tried to bite my arm off. It was a long day today and the sun was beginning to set. Slowly but surely, the sky would turn into a dimly lit room, the skies would also harbor a fine blend of purple, yellow, blue and black when I looked up. The sun gleamed happily as it lay down upon the distant sea.
It was breathtaking...
I wonder when I'll meet Ari...and my freinds again. I hope they didn't die. I don't know why I have hope, I don't know why I suddenly get motivation sometimes when I'm alone like this, I can't tell why...
Do I just want attention? Am I touch starved? What...
What's happening to me? I'm trying to move on, this doesn't matter, love is not gonna fix me, fixing my mistakes and taking on the darkness will fix me. Not some stupid woman's affection...maybe, except for Eden.
This period of time was very unusual for me. Each day, I felt like I was being drawn closer to Eden's playful charm. She was always there, picking up herbs and making potions for both me and Inari. I need to take her back to Gaia, she can't be here, watching a soldier train. I wonder how she feels about being reminded of war everyday. She's already seen me shed blood.
Not only making herbs though, sometimes, she'd help me on my missions and sometimes help me with my training. I don't think I would have gotten this far without her. Inari had even estimated that there was only a few weeks left until my ship was completely repaired and back up. It made me feel so accomplished whenever I'd see how far I'd come. Especially during this time...it felt like.
I purposely sometimes didn't work on the ship, for the sole purpose of prolonging my time here. Because...
I might love it. I don't know why, but life felt a little peaceful these days, it was always so relaxing every day. Not having to deal with any of the Blacklite ranger ships chasing me or anyone trying to catch me. It felt so amazing, freeing even. A while later, I'd feel something bump the boat, redirecting it's path. So I directed it back and then there was a second bump...
My fear shot into the air, I felt like I was being watched. Then, all of a sudden there would first be a strange structure, a curved fin moving backwards emerged from the azure surface. "S-shark..." I murmured in terror before I just. Meow. "Oh my days, I just meowed from fear." I spat to myself as I saw it's full head emerge in front of my boat. The teeth were razor sharp, it's beady eyes saw me as nothing but fresh blood. "At least you aren't a Blacklite drone or anything." I'd say as I threw a small orb of fire from my palm at it. The shark simply resubmerged itself in water and then it chomped on the boat.
"You moron!!" I yelled as I ran up to it to send a hefty punch but then. Something absolutely terrifying happened. As I was about to punch it in the face, trying to get its jaws off the boat so it wouldn't tear it in two, it jumped up and slammed it's chin on the boat. The jaws were open and in that split second as the boat was flipping upside down, I drove my fist even more towards it...
But I miscalculated.
My fist was in enough range for this beast to bite my forearm off.
Bite my arm off it did and then it fled as the whole boat turned upside down on me and the shark. The boat fell fast but I was falling faster. My eyes could only see darkness. I couldn't tell if I was dead or alive but I felt like my heart and my body and my missing arm were all set on fire. My head hurt, my eyes, my face, my body, my arm. Everything, even my thoughts hurt.
What, I lost to a shark?! I'll never beat Akuma. I was sinking and above me was the boat. If it fell upon me, it would be all for nothing. I tried to swim but the lack of an arm would ruin everything for me; I couldn't swim without my arm. It hurt to move.
With nothing else left...I couldn't scream because it felt too much. Too painful. So I let loose and blacked out.
