The Pool! Oh No

Makaylah POV (I know I barely do those, but it will switch to Aaron later.")

Makaylah woke up to find Aaron, one arm around me, his eyes closed, and a smile on his face. She gently touched my lips, all the memory's of last night coming back. Then she gently touched Aaron's cheek, and his smile grew wider. She gave him a questionable look and leaned her face close to his. 

"Stop pretending, mister." She whispered

"Mhmgghhh." Was his only reply.

Makaylah slowly slipped out of her sleeping bag, slowly standing up. She noticed that Averie, Connor, Alex, and Tyler were doing the same. She bent down and slowly shook Aaron. He pretended to 'wake up.' They all migrated to the kitchen. But the little mistake of leaving Jack led to the day spiraling into a danger zone.

They ate breakfast, chatting about exams and schoolwork. After they had finished, Averie announced that they were going to go swimming. They all split off into groups, boys in one, and girls in the other, so they could get changed. Makaylah changed into a swimsuit that had butter yellow shorts and a matching bikini top. When she and Averie stepped out of the room, the boys were already out. Averie batted her eyes at Aaron, but Aaron was too busy gawking at Makaylah.

Aaron POV

We all headed over to the pool. It was huge, it even had a dock. Makaylah walked to the dock, and he followed. She stood on the edge of the dock, looking into the water below. Aaron crept up on her, and pushed her. She probably knew he was there, because she crossed her arms and made it look like she was going to her grave. Aaron was to busy laughing he didn't notice someone creep up on him and shove him into the water. He came up sputtering, only to find a giggling Makaylah and a laughing Tyler. Tyler then dived into the water and swam up to Makaylah. Then he did something all of us had not done in years. 

"TAG!" Tyler yelled, tapping Makaylah on the shoulder and swimming away. And Makaylah being the best swimmer of all of them there, she swam towards Aaron, and within seconds, everyone was playing tag. Aaron went to hide, only to be met by back to back with Makaylah, under the dock. He turned to face her, then pulled her underwater. When both of there heads were underwater, he pressed his lips onto hers. His eyes fluttered shut, and in Aaron's opinion, the kiss was probably better than when Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase kissed underwater. After needing to catch his breath, he broke the kiss and pointed upwards. Makaylah nodded, so Aaron headed back, expecting Makaylah to follow.

 When Aaron broke to the surface, he realized his mistake of not checking if Makaylah followed. Makaylah didn't break the surface, and Averie was shouting at him.

"JACK'S IN THE POOL! GET OUT! DON'T LEAVE MAKAYLAH ALONE!" She screamed. Alex, Connor and Tyler were all splashing around the pool, looking for Makaylah. But it was like looking in a lake than looking in a pool. Plus, the pool was twenty feet deep in some places. Aaron immediately dived, searching for Makaylah. After one minute, he panicked. Makaylah needed air, but hadn't come up for air yet. After two more minutes, Aaron was about to give up hope, when he noticed a dark shape at the bottom of the pool. He quickly plunged deeper, frantically swimming towards the dark shape.

It was Makaylah, lying on the pool floor, unconscious, Jack was nowhere to be seen. But he didn't have time to think about that. He wrapped his arms around Makaylah and pulled her out of the water. As they went up, Makaylah's eyes fluttered. When they broke to the surface, her eyes were fully open. 

After that, we didn't see Jack for twelve years.

Heyyy! So I'm going to have this story in three time periods. One is the one you just finished reading. The second is there marriage period, and the third is when they have twins. I'm going to give name choices, and you can vote on them, but I'll be making the final decision. Also Jack will come back in the third period.
