Four years later...
Aaron POV
The only thing Aaron could think of was Makaylah. And how stupid traffic was stopping him from seeing her. He impatiently tapped his fingers on the steering wheel. He leaned foreword to check what the driver in front of him was doing, because the light was turning from red to yellow. The driver in front of him was on his phone. Aaron honked, causing the driver to jump, and quickly shift gears, so know everyone could move.
Aaron knocked on Makaylah's door, bouncing from heal to toe. In one hand he had roses, the other, which was behind his back, held a black blindfold. Makaylah came out in a pretty lavender dress with a flower design on the top half, the dress came up to her knees.
The dress
"Hey." Aaron said, fidgeting with the blindfold.
Makaylah just smiled. They had been dating for three years now, and she was used to his awkward greetings.
"Where are we going this time?" She asked
"You'll see." Aaron replied, smirking. He handed her the roses, and she smiled warmly, setting them on a table beside her. In sync, both of there hands flew up to there necklaces they had given each other in fourth grade. Makaylah's had a letter A, with a keyboard and lions head in twined. Aaron's had a M, with crashing waves, a paint brush, and a snake. They both blushed a slight pink. He handed Makaylah the blindfold, and she reluctantly put it on. Then he picked her up, bridle style, and carried her to the car, making her giggle the whole way. The funny thing was that Makaylah called the car 'the getaway car for two young lovers.'
Makaylah was silent the whole way, but Aaron could here the gears working in her head. Probably trying to figure out where they were going.
Aaron stopped the car, then picked Makaylah up again. He walked for a little while, but his arms didn't get tired because Makaylah was quite light. They slowly started to move uphill, until Aaron finally set her down. He sat down next to her, and slowly untied her blindfold. She gasped when she saw the scene.
They were sitting on the edge of a small ledge that jutted out into the sea. The waves were teal, then sea green, then midnight blue. The sea was ever changing, and it reminded Aaron of Makaylah, ever changing, but always staying in the same area. The sea never turned yellow, or red. It just changed its shades. The sunset cast light onto the sea, making it glow, the sun turning the clouds pink. Aaron had brought them here because Makaylah had always said that her favorite place was the ocean. She would take him to the beach when they were little, and while there moms talked, they would wade far into the ocean, looking for things they hoped no one had ever found. Always looking for something new. And they found two things knew when at the beach. One, a new understanding of each other, that only they knew. And a small cat, that Makaylah named cookie. Cookie was taken home by Makaylah, and is now a ten year old cat, with black fur and emerald green eyes. Aaron, who was also standing now, looked at Makaylah. Her eyes reflected the sunset, and she had turned from a funny, sweet girl, to a beautiful, caring, and courages young lady. He checked his pocket, making sure it was there.
He wrapped his arm around Makaylah, and she leaned her head on his. After a few minutes, Aaron pulled away and turned to face Makaylah.
"Makaylah, I have to ask you something." He said.
Ooh! Cliffhanger. Please don't hate me. What do you think he's going to say? Hehehe.
Question of the day: who deserves a second chance: Brant Alger, Luke Castellan, Draco Malfoy?
