Remembering the past of a good friend

Sirius was in his house and he decided to lay on the couch letting his long black hair go down he closed his eyes and sighed softly just not knowing what to do at all about this whole situation but he could remember a time when he and James were close really close he could remember it so well it was the day where he could be free in someway but not completely because of his parents and that was the most troubling bit of it all when the two first met.

The two meet when they were both 11 and Sirius was still a royal prince with his little brother Regulus who was just 10 they had to go to the part of the town that Sirius lives in now their parents were made to open up the first ever pirate ship onto the sea and it was why they were there Sirius and Regulus stayed near to their parents because of the crowd to see the ship they young royals along with their parents were at the front and they would see an old man and a young boy that was the same age as Sirius The old man was called Fleamont Potter the ship looked so beautiful and the brothers had stars in their eyes they had never seen something like this in their lives the brother's parents were talking to Fleamont while the young boy noticed the two brothers but Regulus wasn't interested of the young boy so he had gone over to his parents and hugging his mother by the leg a bit.

The young boy would go over to Sirius "Isn't she one of the most beautiful and amazing ships ever!" Sirius would then look at the young boy "Yeah it is! I have never seen anything like this before in my life!" The young boy would smile a bit before putting his hand out "I'm James Potter by the way!" Sirius would shake James' hand with his hand "I'm Sirius Black...it's nice to meet you as well.." The two would then stop shaking hands before James asked Sirius something "Do you want to explore the ship with me?" Sirius would smile a bit "Sure. Why not?" The two would smile and they would explore the whole ship.

The two decided to get on the ship they decided to explore it this was Sirius' first time exploring somewhere that wasn't the castle he would spend most of his time looking around the castle and finding out something new sometimes he would go into places that he wasn't allowed to but he didn't care since he was someone who just finds something to spend his hours to deal with being bored as a whole however When James and Sirius were exploring the ship they were messing around with items that they shouldn't be messing around with but they did Sirius was laughing so much it was the first time he had so much fun in years and with someone he just met while James was laughing so much as well all you could hear was laughter.

However, that laughter would soon go away when Sirius heard his mother shouting "SIRIUS BLACK COME HERE RIGHT NOW!" Sirius would look at James "That's my mother we should probably go back to them..." James gave a confused but puzzled look on his face to Sirius so the two went to Sirius' parents James saw how annoyed and not happy she was and telling Sirius off but it was more like being shouted at however Fleamont would step in and tell Sirius' mother not to be so hard on him since he was mostly James who asked him so Sirius' mother sighed and let it go Sirius remembered that was one of the few times his mother let something like that go.

While he was remembering that memory Sirius was smiling a tiny bit since he was only young and it was his first ever time having a proper friend he could remember all of the times where he would sneak out of the castle and into the other part of the town to just talk to James and have fun since they became good friends quite quick but whenever Sirius got back to the castle his parents were there telling him off and Regulus hiding behind their parents because Regulus didn't really have any friends and he was quite close to their parents and that made Sirius quite annoyed but upset when he got back to the castle after sneaking out he would also get grounded a couple of time because of sneaking out and meeting up with James however the two boys had an way to keep on talking and in touch while Sirius was grounded by writing letters to each other the many letters the two did back and forwards it was a load Sirius would giggle a bit while remembering that "And none of my family knew the letters were from James it was amazing honestly some of the best days of my life."

Sirius opened his eyes and looked up at the ceiling then he sighed a tiny bit "I may have been rebellious in those times but you made me feel like I could be more than a royal prince James." He knew there were so many memories he could time off like all of the times he saw James try and get Lily's attention but fail so badly he couldn't help but giggle a bit while thinking about that he had so many memories of where James and Sirius would just mess around and be well kids in someway since they were only teenagers but they acted more like kids who knew two boys who were completely different would be friends no best friends Sirius giggle a bit more when he remembers him hearing people say that but his laughter went as quickly it was there something was on his mind for sure.

He didn't say anything for a bit but he could finally feel the whisky taking effect in his system it also reminded him of how alone he would be if he didn't meet James that day and become his friend so many things wouldn't happen so he felt so betrayed by what he heard by Regulus he could remember the promise the two made that they would be by each others side no matter what would happen now Sirius was now realizing how dumb of a promise that was "We were just kids....I should have seen how dumb that promise was..." he had started to cry a bit but he didn't know if it was the whisky or him talking "Why to go behind my back to my brother James...? Are you still going to go through your plan and propose to Lily and marry her...?" Sirius didn't understand any of it since he was a bit drunk and the tears were coming down his face this was the first time in a while he had been able to let his tears out.

But he sighed a bit and wiped away his tears before remembering a letter that James had written to him in the letter there was a word that was crossed out and it was about when they were talking about Regulus so Sirius was thinking about it a tiny bit "No did he have feelings for Regulus this whole time...?" he then sighed a bit and looking at how dark it was outside and realized that it was quite late "I have the little brain cells to think about any of this since it is so much and I have alcohol in my system I will probably think about it all another time...but not tomorrow morning since I need to do something. Wait! I should probably write that letter I need to write about! Wait...how many hours of sleep I'm getting? Ehhhhhhhhhhh that doesn't matter I will get up early tomorrow screw it." Sirius would giggle a bit before he said, "And while I am at it sleeping on the couch is comfy." After he said that he decided to finally get some sleep it was probably only going to get five hours but sleep was always the last thing on his mind so he didn't care one bit.
