A high sea adventure

A ball event with a lot of chaos, problems and love but none of it being solved

James and Lily were the first couple to be inside the castle for the ball James was wearing a maroon suit with a tie while Lily was wearing a long red dress with matching high heels with her hair up and a flower in it they were talking to some other people after some other guests came in Marlene and Mary came into the castle Marlene was wearing silver dress with a silt a pair of black high heels but now she didn't have her long hair her hair was now in a pixie cut while Mary had her hair the same but instead of wearing a princess like dress she was wearing a black black jumpsuit that Marlene picked out for her finally Sirius and Remus came into the castle this was the first time in years that Sirius had stepped back into the castle the place that he called hell for years but he only came to the event only for Remus and for him only and that was it however Sirius was wearing a black tuxedo with a bow tie on his tuxedo he had put a pride gay pin on it and he had his black hair up in a man bun while Remus was wearing a light grey suit with a white shirt under it and a navy blue tie on top of the shirt however he couldn't help look at Sirius and smile at him so happily while Sirius looked back at Remus and faked a smile to him Sirius didn't like being back in the castle and it was the reason why he never came to this event until now.

Once all of the other guests were in the castle Regulus would come down the stairs he was wearing a dark green suit with a shirt under it and a black tie on top of the shirt when he was coming down the stairs his and James' eyes locked for a quick second before Lily could even notice but then he noticed Sirius in the crowd of guests and he was so shocked that his brother came to the ball for once Sirius did notice Regulus' look but just looked away quickly as he could Remus noticed that Sirius was looking away so he would take Sirius' hand and squeeze it quite a bit Sirius felt Remus squeezing his hand he smiled a tiny bit this time it was a bit more genuine than before the two were look at each they nearly forgot that they were around other people they only remembered it when a lot of people cheered and the event got underway.

Everyone was laughing and having a nice time Lucius was talking to Regulus about some things and how more outspoken Regulus is with lgbtq+ topics but he couldn't understand why Lucius had a problem with it so shrugged it off and walked away from him to find James Lucius got annoyed with Regulus walking away from him but he would just go over to Narcissa to dance with her.

Regulus would find James with a cup of wine in his hand he was talking to a lot of people while he was watching Lily dancing with other people James didn't mind that Lily danced with other people at these events because he knew it made her happy. James would notice Regulus right away and he would smile quite a bit "Well hello there sweetheart." He couldn't help but call Regulus sweetheart he called him that a lot in their letters to each other but Regulus just blushed quite a bit but smiled back at James "Hey there James." James looked at Regulus a bit more "No pet name? Nothing? Wow, gotta be boring Lily is dancing with other people! So it's fine Reggie." Regulus sighs but giggles a bit "Alright then love. How does it feel being here? Because you know you are here with Lily while having an affair with me." James put his cup of wine down to properly look at Regulus "I feel fine about it I know it's a bit weird but it feels fine besides it doesn't matter to me." Regulus was surprised by James' response but not completely though.

James would give Regulus a smirk "So you want to go and dance?" Regulus was taken aback by James asking him "No I'm good not here I don't feel comfortable and Lily is also here and you have been drinking..." James would giggle a bit to Regulus "Alright then but this is only my first drink I don't exactly drink at events that much so it's fine Regulus." Regulus wasn't sure what to say but he decided to quickly kiss James on the lips James blushed quite a bit and he would kiss Regulus back but not as quickly as Regulus but he made sure that Lily didn't notice however the two flirted quite a bit at each other while talking and laughing. However, they didn't notice Lily come back over so Lily spoke up "James what's going on?" James noticed Lily after she spoke, "Oh Lily hey!" Lily was raising an eyebrow and noticed Regulus and was about to ask if something was going on between the two but Regulus spoke: "Lily me and James were just talking and we must have got caught away with talking and he had something to drink but I must be on my way and carry on with the event it was nice to talk to you and James both." Before Lily or James could say anything, Regulus went to talk to some other people and James had to tell Lily nothing was going on between him and Regulus and that they were just friends, so Lily sighed and went with what James told her, thinking nothing else.
