Chapter Fifteen – I Now Pronounce You
Kensi was lying asleep on the bed that night, her body curled into Deeks' arms. His hand was placed on her stomach and he was playing with her hair a bit.
"I'm getting married, and I'm going to be a dad. God she makes me so happy." He was really talking to himself, but kind of to Kensi even though she was asleep.
He smiled and kissed her cheek. "I promise you I will be the best husband to you and the best father to our baby." He whispered before he fell asleep.
Little did he know that Kensi was in fact very much awake and she could hear everything that he'd said. The tears were gathered in her eyes and slowly falling down her cheeks. "That was so sweet." She whispered and felt her stomach start to churn. "Oh no..."
She ran into the bathroom and fell to her knees in front of the toilet, emptying the contents of her stomach. "Deeks..." She whimpered and lay down on the extremely hot tile floor.
Soon she was met by the blue eyes she loved so much, laying beside her on the floor and holding her hand. "Hey Kens... you gonna be okay?" He rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb.
"Yeah I think so..." She nodded and looked at her still flat stomach. "I umm... heard what you said, about being the best husband and father..." Kensi felt her cheeks flush a pink colour and looked at him. "That was the sweetest thing I've ever heard." She smiled softly.
He smiled back and moved closer, kissing her cheek. "I mean every word of it." He kissed her cheek again and the two of them fell asleep once again, holding hands on the bathroom floor.
We can be the Kings and Queens of anything if we believe. It's written in the stars that shine above; a world where you and I belong. Where faith and love will keep us strong, exactly who we are is just enough. There's a place for us, there's a place for us.
It had been two months since Kensi and Deeks found out they were having a baby and gotten engaged, and it was now the day before their wedding.
"We are doing nothing all day because Sam, Callen and Eric are coming to get me at four this afternoon." Deeks said firmly as he made them breakfast.
"I'm well aware. Eric told me that when they pick you up, Nell would be coming over. She's going to be staying the night and Hetty is going to pick us up in the morning." Kensi smiled and sat on the counter, swinging her legs back and forth.
Deeks smiled and put the food on their plates, putting the pans in the sink. "I can't believe we're getting married tomorrow..." He smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"I can't believe it either." She smiled brightly and nudged her lips against his, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"So have we decided where we're going on our honeymoon?" Deeks pulled her off the counter carefully, handing her a plate of food.
Kensi walked into the living room and sat down, putting on some random cartoon show. "Well, we could go to Paris. My mom saved up a bunch of money when I was growing up. Half for my college fund and half for my honeymoon; turns out getting into this job was a lot cheaper, so I have half of my college fund and all of the honeymoon money." She rambled and Deeks shut her up with a kiss.
"Paris sounds perfect." He smiled and they started eating. "Oh, this is the Bugs Bunny and Road Runner movie!" He cheered happily.
"I've never seen it..." Kensi admitted, cutting of a piece of her pancake. "Deeks I know you're staring at me like I've gone insane..." She laughed without taking her eyes off the screen.
