Chapter Three – Tell Me That You Love Me
This kiss wasn't like the one they shared at HQ; this one was full of passion and love and kindness. So much so that the only reason they pulled apart was because they both needed air.
"So, I say it's time to get dinner." Deeks held his hand out and smiled charmingly to his date.
Kensi smiled and nodded, putting her hand in his. "I'm glad you asked me on this date. I'm really looking forward to it." She looked up at him as they headed to his car.
"Well I'm just glad you said yes... I was uhh, kinda worried you were... you were gonna say no." He rubbed the back of his neck, opening the door for her.
Kensi smiled and kissed his cheek. "I would never say no Deeks." She whispered in his ear and sat in the car, closing the door.
He smiled to himself before going to the other side of the car and getting in himself.
Here we go! So now let's go! You gotta, go! Go! Bring it on! The two of us tonight, we can make it last forever! We're in the neon lights; it's just you and me together! Hollywood is the time! The stars are shining! For you and me tonight, in this city! Where dreams are made of, where dreams are made of.
As they arrived at the restaurant, Deeks looked over at Kensi and took her hand. "Kens... tonight I just want us to be Kensi Blye and Marty Deeks, the people, not the agents." He leaned towards her.
She looked over at him and jumped a little when she saw how close he was. "I love the sound of that, and Deeks?" She got out of the car and looked at the blonde man across from her.
"Yeah Kens?" He smiled, walking over to her as he wrapped his arm around her waist. He pressed a kiss to her temple and led her to the restaurant.
"Thank you for this... really. No one has ever done this for me." She smiled and leaned her head against his shoulder.
"I will always be the one who will do the craziest things for you." He muttered under his breath as they walked towards their table.
Later on in the date, Deeks took Kensi's hand and looked into her eyes. "Kensi... there's something I've been meaning to ask you for a while." He shuffled nervously in his seat.
"What is it Deeks?" Kensi moved the hair from her eyes with her free hand and looked up at him, smiling.
"Well," he laughed softly. "This is weird for me. Look I don't want to mess things up for us, but I want to try being a couple." He pulled at the tie around his neck and took a deep breath.
Kensi froze for a moment, taking everything in. He just said that he wanted to try being a couple, even though both of them knew the hardships associated with being a couple.
"Kens? C'mon you're making me feel like an idiot..." Deeks' voice held a hint of panic, but love.
She nodded. "I think that we can figure something out." Kensi smirked with a twinkle in her eyes. "Would you wanna come back to my place for a drink?" She offered.
"Yeah that sounds amazing." He nodded in agreement, put money down for their dinner and walked over to her, holding his hand out for her.
When you look me in the eyes, and tell me that you love me. Everything's alright, when you're right here by my side. When you look me in the eyes, I catch a glimpse of heaven. I find my paradise, when you look me in the eyes.
The two were sitting on Kensi's couch, each with a glass of wine clasped in their hands. "I dunno, sometimes I think about the undercover case we had a year ago and what Hetty said about being careful about feelings..." Deeks looked at her and scooted a bit closer.
She pulled her heels off and put them on the floor. "You still remember that?" Kensi smiled and put her empty glass down.
"Of course. How could I forget? We were pretty badass." He smiled and stood up, taking their glasses to the sink.
He came back and pulled her up by her hands, putting his hands on her hips and leaned down, pressing his lips to hers.
Kensi was a bit shocked, but wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back. "Deeks..." She breathed when they broke apart and looked up at him.
He smiled and reconnected their lips, pulling them back to where he knew Kensi's bedroom was.
It felt like it was slow motion the way he laid her back on her bed and hovered above her. Placing a trail of kisses from her chin to her neck, to her collar bone and back, reconnecting their lips.
Her hands slid down to the buttons on his shirt as her fingers fumbled to undo the buttons, not breaking the kiss.
They only stopped to pull off his shirt and tie and looked deep into each other's eyes before their lips connected again.
And your heart's against my chest, your lips pressed to my neck. I'm falling for your eyes, but they don't know me yet. And with a feeling I'll forget, I'm in love now. Kiss me like you wanna be loved. You wanna be loved. You wanna be loved. This feels like falling in love. Falling in love. We're falling in love.
The next morning Kensi woke up to Deeks' blue eyes. "Hey you." He smiled and kissed her gently.
"Morning..." She smiled and sat up, fixing her dress from the night before.
She glanced over at Deeks and saw that he was only wearing his dress pants and started laughing, lying back down beside him.
They were about to fall back asleep when Kensi's phone rang. "Agent Blye." She sat up and ran her hand through her hair.
"Alright, yeah I'll pick him up on my way to work." She put her phone down and quickly got ready, running her brush through her hair quickly.
"Well, someone's in a hurry. You know this is your house not mine right?" He chuckled and she threw a pillow at him.
"We have a case let's go." She grabbed his hand and pulled him out to the car. "I'll drop you off and you can change then we're going right to work so don't take too long." Kensi said firmly.
"Yes ma'am." Deeks smirked and kissed her cheek.
She sleeps alone. My heart wants to come home. I wish I was, I wish I was, beside you. She lies, awake, trying to find the words to say. I wish I was, I wish I was, beside you.
When they got to work, they went straight to opps and stood beside Sam and Callen. "Alright Eric, what's going on?" Sam looked over at him.
"Well, we're looking for a Russian mob boss who is living in this high end neighbourhood. And you know what that means." Eric looked over at Kensi and Deeks.
Nell jumped in and smiled. "Don't worry, we got you a nice house, it's in a gated community and we have eyes on the entire neighbourhood. Everything you need is there and Hetty is waiting to see you off downstairs. Sam and Callen you'll be workers in the neighbourhood. They have on-foot patrol so we set you both up for that." She smiled and sent the four on their way.
"Another married couple undercover case? Oh yeah I could get used to this." Deeks chuckled, putting his arm around Kensi's shoulders.
"I wouldn't." Kensi ducked out from his arm and smirked, heading towards Hetty.
"So Mr. and Mrs. Martin; are you ready to dive into your undercover relationship?" She looked up at the two, not knowing they were already in one.
