Chapter #16: Gender Reveal. Jan 2nd 2009 Lizzie’s POV It’s four in the morning and I wake up to the sound of hammering. I roll over to snuggle with Sky but she’s not there. I get up and limp down the stairs. I don't care that I’m limping, it was amazing when I get to the living room the hammering gets louder. She must be working on soundproofing the gym like she said she would but does she have to do it at four in the morning? “Baby!” I call out seeing she has headphones on. “Oh hey Baby. I woke you again didn’t I?” She asks. “Uh huh. Why are you up so early?” I ask, walking into her arms. I really don’t care if she’s sweaty or not. I need cuddles. “I woke up at two and I knew I wouldn’t be able to get back to sleep because I am so excited to find out if it’s a girl or a boy today so I came down here to start working on the soundproofing I promised you I’d soundproof it and I guess I could have gone for a run instead of starting work on the gym at two in the morning.” She rambles. “I just woke up and I don’t think I’ll be able to get to sleep either. I am excited too.” I smile, placing my hand on the small bump. “You look really good in a tool belt.” I tell her. “Oh really you think so huh?” She smirks, pulling me in by my hips. “As much as I would love you to pin me to the wall and fuck me from behind I have to be able to walk at the doctors appointment.” I tell her. “Good point.” She says. “But that doesn’t mean I can’t make you feel good. If you want.” I say and I can see her jeans getting tight around her. “Want me to take care of this?” I husk as I rub her through her jeans. “Please.” She breathes and I get on my knees and take the tool belt off and undo the buttons on her jeans. “Oh fuck just like that.” She moans as I start bobbing my head, gagging when she hits the back of my throat. “Fuck I’m gonna cum.” She moans. He taught me all I know about the outdoors and camping and fishing.” She says. “Can we go cuddle on the couch?” I ask. “Yes I love cuddling with you.” She says. ********** Ashley’s POV I wake up and go downstairs to make some coffee but stop when I see Sky and Lizzie asleep on the couch with Lizzie in Sky’s arms. “Why are they down here?” MK whispers from behind me at the bottom of the stairs. “I don’t know but look at how she holds Liz. It’s like she is protecting her in her sleep.” I point out. “I know she really loves Liz.” MK says with a big smile. “Scarlett’s right, that I don’t recognize that watch.” I say and Lizzie rolls over in Sky’s arms being careful not to wake Sky. “It’s her dad’s watch. I had it fixed for her. Now shhh I’m trying to sleep.” Lizzie whispers and Sky buries her head into the back of Lizzie’s shoulder. ********** Sky’s POV We are sitting in the waiting room waiting to be called back to see the doctor. “Olsen-Quinn?” A nurse calls out. “That’s us.” Lizzie says, taking my hand as we follow the nurse back to one of the exam rooms. “Ok the doctor will be in shortly if you could just lay on the exam bed that would be great thank you.” The nurse says before leaving. My knee starts bouncing as my anxiety gets higher and higher. “Hey it’s going to be ok.” Lizzie comforts me. “I know I’m just nervous. I’ve never had a kid before.” I tell her. “Neither have I. This is a new experience for both of us.” She says just before the doctor comes in. “Hello I Dr. Bailey. I hear we are finding out the gender is today as well as a check up is that correct?” She asks. “Yes that’s correct.” Lizzie says. “Wait, a check up is everything ok? Is something wrong with the baby?” I ask, starting to panic. “No, it's routine. Let me guess this is your first?” Dr. Bailey says. “Yes, is it that obvious?” I chuckle. “A little.” She says. “Ok Elizabeth can you please lift your swear shirt?” The doc asks. “Please call me Liz or Lizzie.” Lizzie says as she lifts my sweat shirt. “And that’s actually my sweat shirt that she stole.” I joke. “Oh I steal my husbands shirts all the time.” Dr. Bailey chuckles as she puts the ultrasound wand to Lizzie’s stomach and I can see them. “Is that them?” I ask. “Would you like to know the gender?” She asks. “Yes.” Lizzie and I say at the same time. “You are having a little girl.” She tells us. “A girl. Sky we are having a little girl.” Lizzie says, trying not to cry. “Hi Lucile.” Lizzie says to her stomach and I can’t stop the tears. “How about Jarnette for the middle name?” I say. “Lucile Jarnett Quinn. I love it.” She says. “Would you like a print out?” Dr. Bailey asks. “Multiple if that's ok please.” Lizzie says. “Of course.” She says and prints them out. “Ok I want to see you in three months Lizzie in March.” Dr. Bailey says. “Ok see you then.” Lizzie says. We get into the truck and Lizzie starts doing a weird ass dance.
