I was well enough on my own,
Setting boundaries for all good.
But you jumped right over the fence,
Breaking the boundaries I created.
You understand why I'm guarded.
You tried to make me feel all good,
But somehow I still fear that
What if you turn out to be like him?
What if you use me, if I give myself to you?
What if you hit me, if I don't listen to you?
What if you make me feel like garbage?
What if you insult me in front of everyone?
You wanted to love me,
But I made you walk out
I watched you to forget me.
There's a brand new girl around you.
I hope you get what you wanted from me.
I made you walk out,
But I'm the one who's hurting.
I'm the one who's alone.
I'm the one who's still guarded.
I hope that one day I can learn to trust again.
I hope that one day I can open my heart to love.
But for now, I need to heal.
I need to learn to love myself first.
