Jungkook's POV
"Cheers!"
I heard the glasses of wine clang to eachother behind me. I could hear all the murmurs of people saying words to my parents like, "You were a nice companion to be with." And "Don't forget us after transferring to new city." And "We'll miss you."
I wonder how many of them actually mean it. For all I know, most people would be jealous of my father's promotion and transfer to a city where we'll be getting our own luxurious apartment provided by the company with all better facilities. And my mom's application for transfer is approved too and she'd be working there now. My mind was at daze, thinking about my new life in a new city, a new home, a new college and maybe new friends who surely wouldn't be as great and trustable as my current ones.
"Hey Jungkook! What are you doing here away from everyone?"
I heard a faint voice of Eunwoo approaching towards me. As I turned around from the railing, I was faced with the whole gang of mine.
Speak of the devils.
"Yah Jungkook! There is your family's farewell party going on and you're absent from it? Not feeling like leaving?", It was Mingyu who was leaning over the door frame to the balcony.
"Don't tell me you're crying here silently while missing us.", there came the teasing voice of Yugyeom.
"Shut up! I'm not crying ok. And who's going to miss you idiots!", I exclaimed while turning back to view the night moon.
Although I'd miss them but I'm never gonna tell them verbally. It's weird telling your friend how much you treasure them. But I know they understand.
All of them joined me and stood on either sides of mine. Eunwoo had 2 drinks of wine in his hand, Yugyeom had lighter while Mingyu held out a cigarette packet to light them. As both of them held out one to blow, they passed me one of those which I refused.
"Come on, it's your last day here.", Yugyeom urged but again, I refused.
"Don't bother him. Mister is too firm on his quit smoking decision.", Eunwoo joked.
"You want to be all changed and become a good boy before going to a new college, huh?"- Mingyu.
"Yes and no. I mean, I do want to have good impression in new college but I had already quit smoking and weeds since, like, years ago?", I said unsure since when I actually quit it. Initial days went with having an urge to take last time which prolonged much longer but eventually I was able to quit it.
"Whatever good boy impression you try to give people there, after looking at your arm length tattoos, they'd sure have an impression that you're a bad boy." Yugyeom chuckled.
I looked at my tattoos which covered my whole arm. Puberty phase...when I thought me being a bad boy and player wasn't enough, I needed to have an aura for it, so I decided having those tattoos. But I don't regret it though, they're cool.
"Whatever.", I said as I snatched a drink from Eunwoo and gulped it myself. What? I decided to quit smoking and weeds but never mentioned drinking?
"So, now that you're leaving soon, I won't make cringe speeches like we'll miss you and don't forget us there after making new friends because we know nobody can replace us.", Mingyu stated proudly.
