Take Two || Jikook

Chapter 5

The following days were as hectic and a headache for Jimin as possible. Teaching something to a dumb kid is easier than to a stubborn kid. Jungkook was the latter, who, absolutely refused to learn anything. But ofcourse, Jimin was as stubborn as him.

"Ok Jungkook, today we'll learn about Newton's laws of motion."

"Newton who?"

Jimin looked up from his notebook towards him in disbelief.

"You don't know Newton?"

"Who the fuck is he?"

'How did he even pass earlier grades' , Jimin thought. But he wasn't to judge, he had to do his job anyway.

"Ok...we have a long way to go.", he mumbled to himself and then looked at Jungkook smiling, "Newton is a well known scientist who had a contribution in most of the laws and postulates in physics. He had given three laws based on how a body moves with respect to change in surroundings. Those three laws are also called Newton's laws of motion. Got it?", he explained calmly.

Jungkook although nodded, but his expressions weren't convincing. Jimin sighed, "One step at a time. First let's learn about the first law of motion. Then slowly we'll move to other ones. The first law is the Law of Inertia."

Although when Jimin used to teach him, he listened patiently but there was still not a huge progress in his academics. Because he neither used to practice much at home, nor he used to do homeworks and assignments by teachers. Jimin could only guide him in school but he had to do the rest of the work himself at home.

"You didn't do the homework again?", Jimin questioned him while collecting other's homeworks. He used to be the one in charge of collecting homeworks and assignments and submitting in the staff room.

"Forgot to.", Jungkook replied casually.

"Same excuse everytime.", Jimin rolled his eyes, "Jungkook, you need to do homeworks and assignments regularly to get better at studies. That's how you improve."

"I'll do it next time, Jimin.", he replied but Jimin knew that next time he's gonna make the same excuse.

It had been a few weeks since they were sitting together and Jimin teaching him during free time. Jungkook was getting somewhat better at his studies but he still had a lot of work to do. As Jimin said earlier, a long way to go.

"Everytime he tells me to do this or that. Ordering me around, I can't even look anywhere else when he's teaching, it's like he has senses or something which detects when I'm not paying attention. Why is he a student even! He should have already been given teacher's post."
Jungkook was complaining about Jimin to Eunwoo as they decided to hang out together at the park after school. Eunwoo only laughed hearing his complaints.

"What's so funny to you?", Jungkook narrowed his eyes.

"Nothing. Just...it's funny seeing you complain about a person like a child when your first instinct is using fist when someone annoys you."

"I mean...", Jungkook trailed off sitting beside Eunwoo, "He isn't as annoying that I need to use fist or something. He's...nice and well behaved. And in a way, he's helping me, he's doing what Mr. Kwon and my parents told him to.", he chuckled, "He's so short and small, if I'd even push him slightly, he'd fly and fall at a distance."

"Do you like him?"

"What rubbish!", Jungkook frowned, "Where did that come from?"

"The way you talk about him, I haven't heard you talk like that about anyone.", Eunwoo said thoughtfully.
