Chapter 10

OT7 finally in military 🤧
Long chapter again ;)

The warm rays of the sun burning the skin and the cool breeze blowing simultaneously were confusing signs to predict the weather. The sky was clear and dry due to it being early winter and the temperature during the day was warm. Jimin adjusted his glasses which always seemed to slid down his nose bridge, looking around for a certain someone’s car. Beside him was Sungwoon who also appeared bored, waiting since a long time.

“Are they even coming or we’re supposed to return home?”, Sungwoon exhaled, adjusting the strap of his backpack. Since it was a two days trip, they hadn’t packed much except some pair of clothes and other necessities.

“Jungkook messaged me that they’re on the way.”, Jimin replied checking his phone.

Within some minutes, a black car pulled up in front of them. Actually, not one but three which included two cars and a jeep Wrangler. The window of the black car slided down to reveal Jungkook’s face as he flashed a grin.

Typical Jungkook. Even his car is black.

“Hey, Minnie! Sungwoon. What are you both waiting for? Get inside.”

Jimin and Sungwoon were dumbfounded for a minute looking at eachother before they rushed inside. Jimin was about to get in the backseat when he saw Eunwoo coming out from the front one.

“Your seat’s here Jimin. I’m taking the backseat.”, he replied smiling which Jimin found suspicious. He got inside anyway.

“Did you wait for long?”, Jungkook asked Jimin while putting some of the hair strands away which were blocking his eyes. The action caused the latter to blush while the other two blinked, too surprised to say anything. At this point, they had even stopped questioning their not-so-friendly actions.

“No, we---”

“35 minutes and 20 seconds to be specific. But yeah, not so long.”, Sungwoon replied from the backseat with a sarcastic tone.

Jungkook glared at him, “I didn’t ask you.”

“I wasn’t answering you, I was telling Eunwoo.”

“Me?”, Eunwoo perked up on his mention, confused, “Uh…”

“Why? Can’t I talk to you?”, Sungwoon retorted.

“No, just…”, Eunwoo pursed his lips unable to form a reply. So he just sighed, “Yeah, you can.”

Just then, they heard honks from the other cars behind them.

“Why are the other cars here for?”, Jimin asked.

“Our friends are inside them. We decided to drive to the resort altogether.”, Jungkook replied, turning on the engine, before shrugging at him, “They’re quite impatient on reaching there.”

Jimin nodded and his eyes went momentarily to the front mirror from where he saw Eunwoo staring at Sungwoon, lost in thoughts. He frowned suspiciously and when Eunwoo’s eyes met with his through the mirror, he looked away instantly as if caught red handed. Jimin decided not to push his inner curiosity and spoil their fun trip by creating any sort of awkwardness.

They started the drive and after two long hours, stopped by a rather remote part of the town where the resort was located. As calm and comforting the silence was in the outer surroundings, as beautiful and dreamy, the resort looked from inside. It was a two storeyed building with glass balconies and the exterior was wooden themed with brown roof and walls painted like logs to give it a whole wooden tree house vibe. Just beside it was a large swimming pool with lights covering the edges and its different colours illuminated the water, providing for a captivating sight. There were sun lounges and tables with umbrella roof near the pool for providing shed. Not to mention, the grass bed surrounding the remaining area and colourful rock pathway placed like stepping stones which led to the resort. Simple and so beautiful.
