Third Person's POV

Without going towards the class, Jimin first rushed to washroom. He opened the tap of the basin and splashed water on his face several times. As he looked at mirror, his eyes were red, he looked pathetic. He couldn't decipher the exact reason he was crying for. Whether it was because of his father who said he'd come but didn't show up or after seeing Jungkook's parents love for their son. He was envious of how Jungkook's parents loved their son and cared for him.

He shouldn't be envious of that right? Because as a child, parental love is something that they receive without asking for it. Every child deserves it. But unfortunately, some are not able to receive parental love. There are people who are abandoned by their parents and there are people who, even after having parents beside them, still yearn for their love and attention. The latter was Jimin's case and it was more pathetic than the former.

'No, Jimin you're strong. You can't cry for this pathetic reason.', he thought as he harshly rubbed the tear marks staining his face.

When he heard the school bell, he went back to class. He was taking out his books from his bag when Jungkook approached his bench.

"Shift to the last bench.", he said sternly.

"Excuse me?", Jimin frowned looking at him. When Jungkook pointed his thumb at the last bench he was sitting on, Jimin realised what it was about. He almost forgot they had to sit together.

"Sorry, I have a poor vision. I won't be able to see the blackboard properly from the very last bench. You can instead shift here.", Jimin said kindly.

"That's not my problem. Since you're sitting with me, you have to move to my bench, not the other way around."

"Listen, I---"

"Good morning students.", Jimin was cut off by the teacher who entered the class. She looked over at Jungkook.

"Jungkook, as per Mr. Kwon's instructions, you're to be seated next to Jimin from today. Move your belongings to the first bench, beside him.", she instructed him and the latter only grumbled in frustration as he walked towards the last bench to move his things while Jimin sighed in relief, having to not argue with him.

The boy sitting next to Jimin, got the message and moved out of his seat while Jungkook sat next to him. The silent whispers around the classroom was evident because of the sudden change. But it soon died down when the teacher started teaching.

While Jimin was busy taking notes, Jungkook was sitting idle, spinning pen between his fingers. Jimin glanced at him momentarily and sighed lightly. Being the emotional person he is, he accepted to help Jungkook with his studies when his mother pleaded. But now, looking at him like this, he was considering his decision. Was it a good decision to accept his mother's request? Would he be able to teach Jungkook?

He sighed again. It was the matter for another day. Sensing Jungkook's mood right now, he decided not to bother him anymore. For the rest of the day until their class ended, none of them talked with eachother.

Night

Jimin was eating dinner, sitting on the dining table when he heard the door click open. He turned to see his dad opening his shoes and keeping it on the shelf nearby. He was contemplating in his mind whether to ask him about today when his voice echoed.

"How did the PTM go? Did your teacher say something?"

Jimin's hand holding the spoon clenched at his casual tone. As if missing the PTM wasn't a big deal. As if his son's academics and future were a joke to him. But, ofcourse he wouldn't dare say anything against him.
