"okay, that's it. i need a break." she muttered to herself, standing up and stretching her arms above her head. she wandered to the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge, and leaned against the counter, mentally weighing her options for shaking off writer's block. she picked up her phone, scrolling through messages and notifications, before an idea struck her.
"why not go live?" it had been awhile since she'd connected with her fans, and maybe their energy would give her the spark she needed.
moments later, she opened instagram and hit the live button. within seconds, her screen flooded with viewers, and a notification banner popped up.
@𝗿𝗼𝗿𝘆𝗿𝗲𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 started a live video. watch it before it ends!
"hey, everyone!" she greeted with a cheerful wave and a wide smile. "it's been a minute. i hope you're all doing well." her face softened as she read through the scrolling comments. she felt her spirits lift; her fans had always been a source of inspiration for her.
a comment quickly caught her eye. "how's your day been, rory?" she read aloud, laughing softly. "my day's been good, honestly. i was trying to write a few songs, but writer's block decided to join me, so i figured i'd take a short break."
then another comment popped up, and she couldn't help but smile. "i'm excited for your album to come out," she read, her voice warm. "me too! i honestly can't wait for you guys to hear it. it feels like you've been waiting forever, and i really appreciate the patience."
the questions came fast and lively, her fans asking about everything from her favorite movies to her coffee order. then, one comment stopped her, bringing a mischievous grin to her face. "i saw your tweet saying you were a fan of stray kids...who's your bias?"
her cheeks flushed as she chuckled. "oh, is it wrong for me to say bang chan?" she laughed, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "i think he's my favorite. he's cute too...and his accent?" she giggled, looking away from the camera, her blush deepening. "it's pretty sexy, not gonna lie."
the comments exploded with excitement, fans teasing her playfully and cheering her on. aurora knew the effect of her words and felt a bit of nervous excitement mixed with the warm admiration she'd carried for chan. she'd admired his dedication and talent for a while, but saying it out loud made it feel more real.
