THE ATLANTA SKYLINE WAS PAINTED IN HUES OF ORANGE AND PINK AS THE SUN DIPPED LOW, casting a golden glow over the stray kids penthouse. inside, the air was charged with a mix of excitement and nerves. chan paced back and forth, making sure everything was in place for the listening party. the space had been transformed into a cozy, welcoming setting, with string lights draped across the living room and a playlist softly humming in the background.

"hyung, you're going to wear a hole in the floor," seungmin teased, watching chan check the snack table for the third time.

"i just want this to be perfect," chan replied, brushing a hand through his hair.

"it already is," felix said reassuringly, his warm smile cutting through chan's tension. "everyone's here to celebrate, not critique your party-planning skills."

the intercom buzzed, breaking the conversation. chan froze mid-step, his heart skipping a beat.

"that must be her," he said, a mix of nerves and excitement in his voice.

"then go open the door!" jeongin exclaimed, grinning as hyunjin gave chan a gentle shove toward the door.

chan took a steadying breath before pulling it open, revealing aurora standing there in a soft yellow dress. the color seemed to radiate against her skin, and her smile was enough to make his breath catch.

"hey," she said, her voice soft and warm as she stepped closer.

"hey," he replied, his tone dropping into that familiar, affectionate cadence he reserved just for her. "you look... beautiful."

her cheeks flushed, and she playfully tugged at his shirt collar. "thanks, you look so handsome."

standing just behind her were her parents, ryan reynolds and blake lively. ryan greeted chan with a wide grin.

"chris!" ryan called, stepping forward to pull him into a quick hug. "good to see you again, mate. ready for a fun night?"

"always," chan replied with a laugh, shaking blake's hand next.

"it's great to see you again," blake said warmly, her smile lighting up the room. "aurora hasn't stopped talking about tonight. no pressure, though."

chan chuckled nervously, his ears turning red. "i'll do my best to live up to it."

as chan guided them inside, the rest of guys stood in the living room, attempting to act casual but clearly buzzing with excitement. they had met ryan before, but seeing him alongside blake added a new level of awe.
