𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲
THE MORNING LIGHTFILTERED THROUGH THE CURTAINS, casting a soft glow over aurora and chan as they lay wrapped in each other's arms. aurora stirred first, blinking slowly as she felt the warmth of chan's embrace. for a moment, she stayed still, savouring the peace of the moment. it was rare for her to feel so comfortable and at ease, and with him, it just felt...right.
after a few moments, she gently shifted, trying not to wake him. but chan, ever a light sleeper, cracked one eye open and offered her a sleepy smile. "good morning," he murmured, his voice thick with sleep.
"morning," she replied, her own voice barely above a whisper. she didn't move from his arms; instead, she nestled back into him, closing her eyes briefly.
"sleep well?" he asked, a small chuckle escaping as he noticed her reluctance to start the day.
"mhm," she replied. "best sleep i've had in a while." she felt her cheeks warm as she realised just how true that was.
chan's smile widened, and he tightened his hold on her. "good. you deserve that." his voice held a note of tenderness, one that made her heart race.
as they lay together in the quiet morning, chan traced light patterns on the back of her back , his expression thoughtful. "you know, i could get used to mornings like this," he said softly.
aurora's heart warmed at his words, and she let out a quiet laugh. "me too. i just... it feels right, doesn't it?"
"it really does," chan agreed, looking at her with a softness that sent a surge of warmth through her. he seemed content, like he belonged there, sharing this quiet, precious moment with her.
the sound of footsteps down the hall brought them back to reality. aurora sat up, brushing her hair back and laughing as they both scrambled to look a little more presentable.
"come on," she said, grabbing his hand with a smile. "let's face them. i bet mom's already made breakfast."
together, they got out of bed and headed down to the kitchen, where blake and ryan were indeed already up. the delicious smell of coffee and breakfast wafted through the air, and aurora's stomach growled.
"morning, you two," blake greeted, a knowing smile on her face as she glanced between them.
"morning, mom." aurora replied, her cheeks slightly pink.
"did you both sleep well?" ryan asked, his eyes twinkling with mischief as he poured himself a cup of coffee.
chan chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "yes, ryan very well, thank you."
