Lucy looked over at Elijah, who was driving them to the airport. Bonnie opted out of being in the front seat and lashed her hand when she was about to open the car door. She looked at her cousin as crazy, but apparently, Mikealson's men were groomed to be the perfect gentlemen still, even though they were monsters underneath it all.
"You think the girls are okay?" Bonnie asked; she hadn't spoken to them in days, and she couldn't be worried about them. She knew Zaci was taking care of them, but still, they were her responsibility, and she hoped they didn't think this was more important than her being with them.
"I'm sure they are having the time of their lives without you," Lucy said. "Plus, they have two witches with them; what could go wrong?"
"Freya is not in New Orleans," Bonnie said. frowning, she had sent Hayley after Tyler because he could help them with the missing wolves. She knew now that it had gone past the dead wolves they found in the witches' quarter. She just hoped Hayley could put an end to it.
"How do you know that?" Elijah asked, but before she could answer "the bracelet," he finished.
"Or she texted me," Bonnie fibbed. Both were true, plus the bracelet worked both ways. It was Bonnie's magical essence; Freya would always know where Bonnie was, whether she wore it or not, and Bonnie could only locate Freya once she was wearing it.
"It's not wise to lie," Elijah said.
"You think Freya would wear something and not know the effects of it?" Bonnie chided. "She knows it's not just a bracelet; it's so she can draw on my magic," she said, rolling her eyes.
"But she's not part of our coven?" Lucy asked
"No, I haven't asked her yet; her family is clingy and controlling," she sighed.
"You're with the worst of them," Lucy said, "but you can't fight love." Lucy went to look at Elijah, but she felt Bonnie pinch her. She shrieked and turned to glare, but Bonnie was motioning at Elijah.
"What?" she mouthed.
Bonnie picked up her phone. He's the worst because he's actually been in love, so good luck.
Lucy laughed and looked back at Bonnie, and she shrugged.
I'm not interested. She texted back.
"When you lie to me, you lie to yourself," Bonnie sang. Lucy rolled her eyes. She felt the blood rush to her cheeks. She thought about the kiss she placed on his cheek, and since then, she's been giving him the cold shoulder ever since.
"So the plan is Germany, then Austria, was it?" Lucy asked,
"Yes, if it was something simple, we would have gone with a private plane, but the first class would have to do it," Elijah said.
"Did he just say private plane?" Lucy mouthed. Bonnie smiled and nodded.
"You know I can still hear when you mouth it," Elijah said.
"Give me your card so I can buy Lucy some minutes then," Bonnie said, poking her head between the seats.
"I don't think that's necessary," Elijah said
"Well, we want to talk without your watchful ears so," Bonnie emphasized. Elijah sighed.
"You agreed to be two women for more than a day," Bonnie said. "So don't catch an attitude." Elijah took his wallet out of his suit and gave it to Bonnie. She took out his card and handed it over to Lucy.
"People will think he's our bodyguard," Lucy said, taking up her phone to buy the data.
"He makes a good one," Bonnie said, looking at him.
