Klaus pulled up to Bonnie's little cottage she currently was staying until she knew where she was going after she left New Orleans, but whenever they talked he could see how she glowed, how happy her voice sounded when she talks to him about her favourite parts of the city. How she listens to him as he tells her a story of when he lived in New Orleans years ago.

He was just waiting for her to admit that she is staying and that she already found her home, but the witch was stubborn. So Klaus decided to take her out to see more of the nightlife, it was nine pm and in a few minutes, they would be a little jazz concert at a speakeasy bar not far from where Bonnie lived.

"Give me a minute," Bonnie said before Klaus could knock on the door, he smiled, knowing she was aware of him being there. Klaus waited patiently for her to come to the door, and he was glad he decided to be a patient man because she looked gorgeous, she wore a white sleeveless silk top and shimmering red skirt that stopped below her knees, plus she was wearing heels making them the same height. It took everything in Klaus not to kiss her right there and then.

"You look more beautiful than any painting that I have ever seen," Klaus said, fuck, she turned me into some kind of buffoon. Bonnie tried to hide her smile from him, but he saw it. Klaus took her hand and lead her to his car and they drove.

When they arrived, Klaus lead her to where they would be sitting. They order their drinks and they sat for a while as the band played their music after a few minutes of sitting, Bonnie pulled at him, so they could dance. He laughed at most of her moves, but he also enjoyed feeling her against him, he got a better feel of her soft skin against him, and a better look at her neck which he wanted to leave a trail of kisses on. Her earthy scent that came with being a witch and the smell of books and a mixture of lavender and rosemary that was uniquely hers. Would she taste like that too? Bonnie was enjoying the music, but Klaus just felt enchanted, he only thought of ways he could continue to see the smile on her face. How he could make himself more permanent in her life.

Klaus watched Bonnie as they sat in the corner of the speakeasy, they finally stopped dancing, and she was giving all her attention to the band her face was so enthralled watching them perform, he was glad she was enjoying the music. She turned to look at him and smiled.

Klaus took this opportunity to reach out to her face and hold her chin. He looked her in her eyes.

"Can I kiss you?" He asked her

"Yes," she said with a nervous smile. He leaned into her and touch her soft lips, he started off the kiss softly, tasting the whiskey on her lips, the warmth of her breath, kissing her felt like the moment he truly learned to enjoy being an artist. It felt like how a seed would drink its first drop of water. He felt even with all his years of experience, that he had nothing before he kissed her.

He pulled away and looked at her eyes, which were filled with desire. This time it was her who initiated the kiss, this time involving a bit more tongue, he could feel her want and desire in this kiss, it was as if she was challenging him to take her right here and now she don't care, if he was a weaker vampire he would have sped her out of the bar and take her against the nearest dark alley, but she deserved better than that, and he was going to give it to her.

Talking to Bonnie, being around her felt like he was now truly enjoying life, seeing her smile, laugh and be happy somehow brought him joy and he was determined to keep her that way.
