Mercedes sat at her table with Tahlia, Finch and Stefanie as she watched Josie and MG walk through the courtyard together.

"Isn't that boy from our old school?" Tahlia asked, as she had followed her cousin's line of sight. "Yeah, he is." Mercedes answered, keeping her eyes on the pair of best friends who were trying to decide where to sit.

"That girl is cute." Finch spoke up, her eyes on Josie although her comment seemed to take Tahlia by surprise. "Don't get too excited, she's taken." Mercy replied to Finch.

"Also, she's annoying." Stefanie added quickly, which caused Mercedes to snort in amusement. "She doesn't seem too bad." Tahlia pitched in.

"Why is Ethan sitting with them." Stefanie suddenly pointed out, as the Machado was indeed sitting with and talking to Josie and MG. "He's probably just being polite. He is like a golden retriever." Finch suggested as Stefanie had to agree there.

"Your date went well, didn't it?" Mercy asked Stefanie as the Salvatore nodded. "Then you probably have nothing to worry about." The Ramirez insisted, "Josie is in a relationship, anyway." She added, although it hadn't occurred to Mercedes that MG might find an interest in Ethan.

The bell then rang, signalling for the break to end and for class time to begin. Finch looked over at Tahlia, as she remembered that they both had History class now. Tahlia caught Finch's eye and blushed quickly before she suddenly got to her feet.

Finch followed suit, as she gave Tahlia a smile. "Tahls and I have History class now. See you guys at lunch." The Tarrayo said, as Tahlia was a little surprised to see the ravenette addressing her by her nickname. "Have fun." Mercedes said, as herself and Stefanie got to their feet also.

"Meanwhile Mer and I have PE. I hope we do something fun." Stefanie complained, as she dreaded the idea of running laps. "Yeah, agreed." Mercy admitted as the group went their seperate ways as the Ramirez followed Stefanie to the gymnasium as they entered the locker room to change into their gym clothes.

Once changed Mercedes stood by the mirror, pulling her hair into a ponytail as Stefanie approached her. "Have you seen any cute girls or guys yet here?" The Salvatore asked curiously as Mercedes looked to her. "No, actually. I haven't exactly been looking though—"

"That's just not good enough." Stefanie decided, "Wasn't the whole point of you moving here to do normal teenager things? And not be a.... What are you again?" The Salvatore asked the last part quietly. "A hellhound." Mercedes answered in an amused chuckle.

"Yeah, a hellhound. Wait... don't hellhounds have soulmates?" Stefanie asked suddenly, as she had remembered reading something about them in one of her classes. "Not necessarily. They have people they are bound to protect... but sometimes the protector and the protected absolutely hate eachother." Mercedes confessed with a laugh.
