JADE'S POV
As the giant rock wall opened up slowly and silently I might add, and I held on to Leigh-Anne's hand I wasn't sure what to expect. I closed my eyes and mentally took stock of everything we knew for sure.
-This was a sort of final test or mission and we had to get to the button to shut this all down.
-All four of us needed to make it through. I supposed that that was a good thing.
-There were going to be a lot of those . . . um . . . what did they call them? Electrici-warriors? At least Leigh-Anne and I had figured out their weaknesses earlier. But then again I couldn't be sure that we would be able to do that thing we did with the trees before.
-We needed to be stealthy. I guessed that if those things were lurking around the best way to get passed them is to not be found out by them.
-We only had two hours to do this.
That was about it. That was all we had to go on.
Gosh my entire body was aching. I felt really ill. I know I told the girls that I was fine but I just didn't want to worry them or slow us down. My head felt like someone was trying to split it open with a knife. I needed this to be over. At this point I just wanted to go home and get to bed.
Leigh-Anne squeezing my hand snapped me out of my thoughts and made me open my eyes. The first thing I noticed was trees. There were lots of them. We were definitely outside. It wasn't as dark as before though. For some reason the moon seemed much brighter than before.
"What now?" I heard Perrie mumble, "There can't possibly be a red button out here . . . right?"
"Maybe there's another building that we need to get to?" I said trying to get a better view of our surroundings.
I turned around slowly to take it all in. We seemed to be in a sort of woodsy area. When we walked fully into the woods the rock wall closed up at our backs and we knew that we couldn't go back that way. Whoever was in charge of this thing was definitely overusing that sort of thing.
"Okay so I think that we should go directly forward and see if we can reach the outskirts of these woods. Maybe there's like a building or something ahead." I said as I internally memorized everything about where we were.
"Sounds like a plan." I heard Jesy say. She took two steps ahead then Perrie followed closely behind her.
I followed behind Perrie and assumed that Leigh was following me.
"Do you guys think that there are any of those things here right now?" Perrie asked.
"I don't know Pez." Jesy replied pulling some branches out of her way.
"There probably are lots of them crawling around." I said fearfully. I did not like those things one bit. And with how sick I was feeling there was no way I'd be able to out run them.
"Keep positive Jadey." Perrie said looking back at me. She smiled reassuringly, "I'm sure we'll be fine." The smile she had slowly faded and she suddenly stopped walking all together.
I raised an eyebrow at her. "Pez?"
She didn't even look at me again. She ran back past me and shrieked; "Lee-Lee?"
Both Jesy and I turned in time to see Perrie hovering over Leigh-Anne who was bent over with her arm holding onto a tree for support as she puked her guts up.
It was less than five seconds before Jesy ran past me and was rubbing at Leigh's back. I would have gone too if the smell of vomit wasn't already wafting its way up my nose and making me feel like throwing up also. We didn't need two of us to be spewing sick all over the place.
