Day two

JESY POV

I was just wandering the forest now.  I was not trying to run from whatever those things were anymore.

It was getting dark and I was clearly going mad.  I almost could not tell reality from my dreams.  Or well they were more like visions I suppose.

I saw the girls almost non-stop.  It was no longer just them dying but flashes of them smiling, laughing.  They were becoming more and more like real people to me.  They were the only human beings I saw in this dreadful place –even if they were only in my head.  Yet I didn’t know their names.  And I didn’t know if I would ever meet them or if I had merely conjured them and needed to go to a madhouse.  Did this even mean anything?

I tripped over a rock and rolled down a slope, hitting my head on a protruding tree root.  Ouch.  I was not usually this clumsy but between being extremely hungry and being unable to really see because of flashes clouding my mind, I suppose I was becoming a bit uncoordinated.

“Mmm. . .” I groaned trying to sit up and rubbing my head.  I honestly felt like I might pass out of hunger.  I should be able to at least find something to eat but I just could not function in this state.  It was day two of this ongoing nightmare and I had not been able to find food nor shelter.

I was clearly going to die here either of starvation or from being murdered by those people or umm things . . .

Just then I started slipping into a vision.  This time it was the girl with the afro.  She was saying something but I could not hear it.  She was staring right at me with concern.  I did not understand.  The visions seemed so real.   Like they were standing in front of me and talking to me, but I just couldn’t hear them.

It was so strange because when I was dreaming I know I heard each girl calling my name and now they had gone mute.

When I finally came to, it was completely dark.  I guess I probably dozed off.  I was going to sit up and start searching for a cave or some form of shelter for the night so that I wouldn’t freeze half to death like last night when I heard a sound.

It sounded like someone stepping on a twig and breaking it. I stiffened.  I prayed silently hoping that it was just my imagination.

I was wrong.  A dark figure appeared from behind the huge tree whose root I hit my head on.  Oh crap!

It was one of those . . . things!  It pulled out a gun looking weapon and came at me.

I sprung to my feet as fast as I could and started running.  Urgh. I was too hungry to keep moving for so long.  I felt like I was about to faint.

The thing shoved its weapon at me and I felt my entire body shake with jolts of electricity.  I dropped to the hard ground with a thud.
