Macau was glad to see his brother out of his room, Vegas's been upset about the break up, he was barely functioning and, as if it wasn't enough, the death of his father was just something additional that hurt him.
Vegas somehow still couldn't even process that his father was gone, forever. Sometimes he wished he could just talk to him, one last time, to tell him everything he thought and needed, how much neglected and abused he felt and how much he wanted some comforting words. Even just once would be enough.
Macau wanted to scold Vegas for losing the only good thing happened to him but he knew his brother was already in pain and probably regretful so he didn't want to add any more burden.
Macau wished he could seek Pete. Since that day certain thoughts have haunted him, he felt regret, and he still couldn't believe he was the one who killed his uncle. He trained for that specific reason but... he wasn't made for that, that world felt burdensome.
He couldn't help but feel sorry for his brother, trapped there with no exit. He knew what Vegas had done to save and take him as far as he could from that and all Macau could do at that point was give him something back.
That's why when he thought about it, about the murder, in that way it felt almost... right.
Macau called one of the bodyguards and asked to arrange a car to the main family, he was going to meet Pete if the latter allowed him to.
He didn't want to be too noticeable, he didn't want his brother to see him leave. Knowing Vegas he would probably not let Macau go when all the latter needed now was fresh air and a shoulder to rely on, which Vegas couldn't offer at the moment.
He managed to get out and it didn't take long before they reached their destination. Macau didn't know how to ask about Pete but he would figure it out.
The bodyguards let him in and when he asked about Pete they said they had to inform Tankhun first, which was the first obstacle Macau should have expected.
He was surprised though when the bodyguards came back and allowed him to meet Pete without having to argue with his cousin.
Pete was in his room, lying on the bed with his head hanging upside down in the air resting on the edge of the bed.
He seemed too into his thoughts to even notice that someone entered. He didn't look good, he was as bad as Vegas was, Macau felt sorry for the both of them. He wished he could do something, even the smallest thing would help.
"Pete?" he finally managed to make his presence known.
"Khun Macau?" Pete immediately sat properly and felt his head spin from the abrupt movement.
"You okay?"
"Yeah I'm great" Pete took a few moments to recompose himself "How can I help you Khun?"
"Drop the Khun, you date my brother we should be close, no formalities"
"I used to, not anymore" he corrected Macau punctually.
"True... I'm sorry it ended that way"
"It's fine... I guess" Pete pushed himself to say it. He wasn't okay, he missed Vegas and not knowing how he was doing was killing him inside. He had only to wait for Porsche. He wondered if asking Macau was a good idea but he opted not to, he didn't want Vegas to know he was worried and seeking information about his wellbeing.
"Uhm, Vegas needs you, I've never seen him so down as now. He knows he made mistakes with you. He's miserable Pete, I almost don't recognise him"
"What do you want me to do?"
