"You are such a bastard" Pete pouted, crossing his arms.
"I didn't mean to"
"You meant it and you would do it again"
"Yeah, that's true. You made me do it though" Vegas accused him.
"Don't blame me, it's all on you because you can't keep those hands to yourself"
"You never told me off"
"I don't want to talk about it anymore," Pete said knowing full well Vegas was right.
Pete quickly walked away from Vegas and the latter rushed to reach him. He grabbed his hand and interlocked it with his own.
They were walking on the seafront together. The date was set on the beach. Vegas wasn't sure his lover would like it or if it was good enough. Yet he knew Pete didn't have much time to go anywhere, given his job, and the beach was probably one of the least visited places in his free time.
"Baby don't be embarrassed, they will know you belong to me. What's wrong?"
"I am self-conscious of everything, I feel like we are watched all the time and I don't know anymore if I'm paranoid or if it's true"
"It doesn't matter" Vegas squeezed Pete's hand in reassurance. He brought it closer to his face to then place a kiss on it.
Pete wasn't sure if it was a good idea to hold hands. Not only they stood out quite a lot but also it was the first time he got a boyfriend and he wasn't used to the judging stares that wouldn't leave him alone.
He wondered how behind the world actually was if people cared more about what others do than watching the street ahead of them. He heard them whisper things he would never manage to say out loud. Pete didn't care about what others thought, not even now, yet the attention was too much and the fear of being spotted was even greater.
Yet Pete didn't let go of Vegas' hand, not for a second. He knew how much Vegas needed to feel the contact with him.
Vegas was much of a touchy person and Pete concluded that it probably was because of the need of making sure everything was real.
Pete didn't know how much Vegas has suffered, to make him this needy of attention, but he was ready to give him everything he could.
"Let's go, I still have something else to show you" Vegas dragged Pete with him.
"Here it is, we are going to have a private trip on the sea," he said while hopping on the boat.
"Did you rent a boat?" Pete asked incredulously.
"I bought a boat"
"You bought it? What do you even need it for?"
"To show my pretty boyfriend how nice the sea is" Vegas replied. The boat finally sailed and slowly moved away from the shore.
"Boyfriend? Since when?" Pete actually considered them boyfriends already but he thought it wouldn't be bad to hear Vegas say it.
"Since now. Aren't you mine?"
"Only yours"
"And I'm yours too. That solves the problem" Vegas got closer to Pete "The real reason I bought the boat is to do unholy things in here when you get better"
Vegas let his hands rest on Pete's hips. He has no intentions to go further, not now at least. All he wanted was to feel his man.
"No way, you bought it just for that?"
"Just for? That's more than worth it, it will fulfil my fantasies"
"What if I don't want to?" Pete wondered.
