Pete woke up in the hotel room alone.

Even knowing there was no alternative wasn't enough, he wished they could have spent at least that first night together.

He missed Vegas and he was wondering if it was better if he could be working today so that he could check on his lover, he had a very bad feeling about the meeting.

Macau was laying down listening to music till his father and Vegas left. He was looking for some distractions because his mind was filled with negative thoughts.

His father, as usual, came back home only in the early morning. Macau hated that once again, he wasn't allowed to go with his brother to defend him.

It's not like he could do something anyway, he felt like a burden again and again.

He got up and went around looking for Mia, one of his closest bodyguards.

If he had someone in that household that he trusted, except his brother, it was her.

"Good morning," he said when he saw her.

"Good morning, Khun Macau" she greeted him.

"I want to practice shooting; can you prepare it for me?"

"I can, just be secretive. Khun Vegas doesn't want you involved with it"

It was the first time he decided to try using weapons. He felt weak, he couldn't even protect himself let alone protect others.

When something bad was going to happen what would he do? Would he just run away? Would someone lose their life for him?

Macau wanted to fight back.

"I know but I can decide for myself"

"That's why I am helping you" she admitted.

"And that's why you are the best bodyguard I have" Macau smiled at her.

"Complimenting me will not make me help you more"

"You always misunderstand my actions" he giggled.

"I never do, I know you too well"

"Yeah Yeah" Macau waved his hand while he got away.

He knew she was a trusted guard, and she would always do her best to help, regardless of the bickering; she always had Macau's best interest in mind.

She was the only bodyguard they had he liked. If it wasn't for her, he would close himself up.

The shooting range was now ready as Mia managed to get the guards that were around away and she prepared it to be safe enough for Macau to be in.

"Come on in" she welcomed him.

"You did great." he acknowledged.

He looked at the guns she prepared and he ran his hand over the selection, undecided about which one to choose.

"Use this" she grabbed a Glock 19 and handed it over.

"Don't laugh at me, okay? I'll fire you if you do"

"And then who is going to help you?" she chuckled and he laughed as well.

Macau held the gun in his hands, taking off the safety. He aimed at the target, trying to guess the position and he shot.

"Not bad for a beginner" she complimented.

"Have you seen that? Not bad? I think I am talented"

"There is no talent in using a gun, it's a curse. Don't say things like that. I'm teaching you just for self-defence" Mia admonished him.
