Pete hid behind the wall reloading his gun. He looked around calculating how to move forward without receiving serious damages.

He quickly searched for Kinn, a second before he was just behind him and now he lost him.

All of this was happening in a casino, in a quite hidden spot of the city. Kinn took numerous bodyguards with him knowing full well that the event might be a trap but he couldn't refuse it. As expected it was a set up, Russians had no good intentions towards them since the last deal didn't work out.

Pete didn't waste any more time and rushed to a new safe spot, firing at every enemy he encountered.

He found Kinn out of the corner of his eye, he was being followed and surrounded by enemy forces.

Pete shot at them catching their attention, hitting one of them in vital points. He quickly used all his bullets to mutilate some of the enemies.

He used the wall behind which he was hidden to protect himself. Kinn fired at the few guards left that were distracted by Pete.

After they cleared up the zone, Pete rushed to Kinn to check on him.

"Is everything alright sir?"

"Everything okay, thanks for coming on time"

"It's my job" Pete replied.

Pete heard faint noises and quickly turned. He reloaded the gun once again and put himself in front of Kinn.

"Stay behind me" Pete didn't want to order his boss around but the occurrences didn't let him any choices.

Pete walked steadily till they reached the door. He peaked finding three men moving towards them. Pete aimed at them through the space of the slightly open door.

He knew they didn't notice him yet but as soon as he fired at the they would, so it had to be very precise which was hard given the position.

The shot fully hit one of the three men making the other two aware of the presence. Pete opened the door, leaving his boss hidden in the other room and shot at one of the enemies, being shot as well. His shoulder was pierced by the bullet and was bleeding, Pete ignored the pain, he could withstand the pain of some of the most horrific tortures so ignoring it could work.

Pete couldn't use his left arm which was his dominant one, luckily he knew how to shoot with his right as well, just a little less precise. At that moment the precision mattered up to a certain point.

Pete quickly took the gun that was on the floor trying to deviate from the bullets coming at him, one of them hitting on the chest. After he got a hold of himself he kicked the leg of the man shooting at him.

He fired at the said man two times and then looked back to check if everything was clear. He ignored the wounds knowing that if he looked at them his brain would register the injury and he wouldn't be able to avoid the pain.

He went back to Kinn and scanned through his whole figure to check if he had any injury. He seemed alright so Pete was a little relieved.

"Do you have any ammo?" Pete asked his boss.

"Only two left"

He tried to contact his colleagues on his earpiece not managing to get in touch with any of them. He quickly visualised, in his head, the plan of that place, and tried to allocate all the exits he saw.

He thought about the strategies the enemies might be using and deduced which way out could be less controlled.

"Let's go this way" Pete started to walk but Kinn stopped. Pete didn't want to lose too much time in his conditions but Kinn didn't seem to think the same.
