Aitana's POV

"The date is tonight Ona! What am I going to wear?! I'm in a stupid boot." I crashed onto my bed depressed. I like McKinley. McKinley admitted to liking me. So everything should be good, right? WRONG.

I agreed to our first date tonight but I'm still limping around with a giant boot like Frankenstine. McKinley refuses to go into details on her plan for tonight as well which is stressing me out.

"Would you shut up and sit there." Ona rolled her eyes annoyed with me.

"I'm nervous."

"I'm well aware but shut up and let me think!"

I giggled a little as I realized I had stressed Ona out too now. She pushed past different outfits in my closet trying to pick for me. I just looked up at my ceiling overthinking.

"Here." She threw clothes at me and I jumped up off the bed. I liked her pick. I pulled my shirt over my head and pulled the new one on.

"Yup that's the one." Ona smiled as I hobbled over to the mirror.

"You promise I look good?"

"Perfect. You look perfect." She smiled as she walked over and gave me a hug.

"And if McKinley doesn't realize that then she's stupid. Because anyone who gets to date my bestfriend is incredibly lucky." I blushed at her comment.

"Thank you Ona. I love you bestie."

I felt my phone buzz and the panic returned. She'll be here in twenty minutes. Okay just act like this is a soccer match. Go in prepared and play your best Aitana.

"You had your game day glare face thing going right now..." Ona let out a light laugh.

"I'm focusing."

"Yeah don't focus too hard at the table."

"I don't want to mess this up." I groaned as I fell back onto the bed again. I did have an intense glare when I focused. It didn't bother me until someone pointed it out. I looked so angry whenever I was caught overthinking.

"You are not going to mess it up. Just keep being you Aitana. Because if she doesn't like the real you then she's not meant for you."

Ona's words helped a little. I could only hope she was the one for me. I mean she was so cute and seemed really sweet. She isn't the girl I held a grudge against for this whole time. She's the opposite honestly.

I thought she was super selfish and shallow when in reality she's a lot like me. She's so dedicated to the sport and in love with the game. She didn't come from much unlike my original thoughts of her. I expected her to be a daddies money girl who bought her way to the top, but she's worked so hard.

Maybe she'll work hard to make us work.

"You're right. If its meant to be it'll be."

"There you go." Ona gave me a smile.

"She's going to be here any minute."

"I'll head out then. I really hope its amazing." Ona gave me one last hug as she walked to the door. I kind of wish she didn't leave though because now I was left alone to sit her and think about things I shouldn't.

A simple knock on the door was just the trick to pull me away from those thoughts and spike my adrenaline levels.

"Hey you." I opened the door to a smiling girl. She looked stunning as always but her outfit just added to the beauty. The boots giving her a little bit of height over me and the pants creating the illusion of making her much taller.
