Authors Note: I've added a couple characters with names of some of my readers. I hope you don't mind the embellishments or gender reversals my dears. I appreciate your support!

Y has spent half the the morning and afternoon pacing nervously. Professor X has sent him several text messages. The first, letting him know he'd made it safely to his classroom. The second was to complain about the cafeteria food. He even sent a selfie, his nose wrinkled and a playfully disgusted look on his face. Y had laughed and relaxed after that.

Now, the doorbell rings and he nearly jumps out of his skin. He shakes his head in laughter, checking the security camera. A young woman stands, trying to balance several bags of groceries.

"I'm sorry to keep you waiting." Y says, opening the door. He takes two bags, the woman blushing as she smiles at him.

"No problem. This is actually my first day on deliveries." The young woman says, biting her lip and looking back at her van. "I couldn't carry everything. I'll be right back with the last bags!"

"No worries. I know I ordered a lot." Y says, piling bags just inside the door. He watches her hurry back to the van and come back with two more bags. "I admit, I didn't think I had ordered this much." He chuckles, taking the last of the bags.

"Oh, the order was added on to. I was told, your roommate called?" She asks, obviously fishing for his relationship status.

"Oh. My boyfriend. He's spoiling me." Y says, seeing a bouquet of flowers in one of the bags. He pulls out his wallet and hands her a couple of bills. "Thank you so much."

"Oh sure! Have a great day." The young woman says, trying to hide her disappointment.

"Thanks, you too." Y closes and locks the door, beginning to cart the groceries into the kitchen. He puts the flowers in a vase and smiles. "He's so sweet."

Y begins unloading the bags and finds several things he hadn't ordered. Along with his W. I.C. benefit items he had ordered turkey bacon, chicken breasts, hot dogs, and velveeta macaroni and cheese. There's also yogurts, protein snack packs, a bag of shredded lettuce greens, fresh strawberries, bananas, and a small box of lollipops that claim to curb morning sickness. He smiles, knowing the Professor is trying to take care of him... and their unborn baby. He finishes putting the groceries away and pulls out his cell phone.

~Babe, I just got the groceries. Thank you for the flowers. Any requests for dinner tonight? I was thinking of making ghetto casserole.

A couple of minutes pass and he realizes the last lecture is about to begin. He figures the Professor is busy chatting with students and preparing, but his cell pings just as he's about to shove it into his pocket.

-I'm glad you like the flowers baby. But, what is ghetto casserole?

Y laughs, forgetting the Professor didn't grow up poor like he did. He realizes, their child already has a better start than he did. Two parents who are genuinely looking forward to its birth and a Father that will be a great provider. He smiles, thinking their baby won't ever go without. Especially not without love.

~Mmm, it's my favorite from my childhood. Macaroni and cheese with diced hotdogs. Except now, I got the good Mac and cheese. None of that fake powdered stuff for our baby.

-🤔😁Sounds interesting. And only the best for my babies. Gotta go baby, I'll be home in a couple of hours. Love you. 😘

Y laughs at all the emoji's and sends a simple love you too back. He can't believe he's already missing the Professor. He decides he'll surprise him, by heading to the university to meet him. He can check into the café job too. He changes his clothes and calls a cab, waiting inside until it arrives. Just in case Mathew is watching the house.
