When Carlos yelled that TK was alive, they all went running into the basement to see him. What they saw when they got there made everyone who loved TK angry and sad at the same time. TK had bruises all over, both of his eyes were swollen shut and so much worse. Olivia could not wait to put Alex away once she made sure that her second son was okay.

"Hey sweetheart, can you let go of Carlos so I can check you out?" Olivia realized that her, Eliot and Owen aren't the only people who care about TK. Olivia was still on the fence about Carlos, she never liked TK's boyfriends, but that might change. When TK finally let go of him Carlos saw just how bad his hands were and had to resist the urge to kill Alex. He was about to follow through with that urge when Grace stepped in front of him. "Grace, please step aside." Grace smiled at the fact that even when he was in a murderous rage, Carlos was still polite.

"I don't know, can you promise me that you won't kill TK's ex-husband?" She could tell what his answer would be when he slightly tilted his head for a second and flexed his jaw. "Maybe don't do that in a house full of cops, you idiot." Grace could see in their eyes though that they all had the same urge as her brother. In the end he didn't shoot Alex, but he did beat him up a bit. When Olivia saw how he reacted to TK being hurt, she chose how she felt about Carlos. She could see that he would burn the world down if someone even thought of hurting TK. Eliot had the same impression of Carlos in that moment as Olivia did. He knew that after this was all said and done him and Carlos would have a great friendship. He could also see why Owen loved Carlos so much. Another thing that made Eliot love Carlos was his sarcasm.

"You have the right to remain silent and I suggest you exercise that right." Eliot saw a lot of Owen and a little bit of himself in Carlos which made him love him like a son. When they all got to the hospital TK would only be comfortable if Carlos was in the room. "Why does he have to go? Please don't go Carlos." Amanda had gotten used to hearing TK beg for his boyfriend's to stay and it made her hate Carlos.

"Honey, I won't be long I promise. The doctors need to do some tests. I will be right outside of the room, I promise." Once they both exited the room Amanda confronted Carlos.

"Listen young man, I don't know you but I don't have to. His entire love life has been filled with him begging men to stay and it's clear that you are no different." She could tell that he was confused by her statement but she didn't care. She also knew that TK was going to be mad at her because he loves this man a lot but she knew he'd move on. "What are you trying to say ma'am?" Amanda rolled her eyes at his fake kindness.

"If you truly care for him, then do what's best for him and break up with him today." She left Carlos to think about what she told him. Carlos said there stund at the fact that she actually called that the best thing for TK. While he was standing there, the doctor exited TK's room to let him know that he could go back into the room. Carlos walked in and chose to do the best thing for TK. "Hey babe, I'm glad that you're back in here. Are you okay?"

When TK called Carlos babe he felt like someone was ripping his heart of his chest. He felt tears sting the back of his eyes but he knew that Amanda was right, TK deserved better than him. "Baby, we need to talk."

"Okay, why do you look like you're about to cry?" The confusion in TK's voice was almost enough to make Carlos tell him the truth.

"Please don't forget that I love you more than life and that's why I'm doing this." When he was about to say the 5 damning words, he was cut off by TK. "No, no you are not breaking up with me Carlos you are all I have. I don't care if you blame yourself for what happened to me, for me getting kidnapped because it's not your fault. And I will not let you leave me because of that." Carlos started crying when TK said that, because he was right about why he wanted to leave him.

"Now tell me the truth. What the hell is going on?" Carlos told him everything that Amanda told him and his own feelings involved in it. After he got done telling him the truth Amanda walked in. "Hey sweetie how are you feeling?" Amanda expected to have to comfort her hurting best friend when she went into the hospital room. What she faced instead was the angry look of TK strand which confused her.

"Why the hell do you think you have the right to determine for me who I should and shouldn't date?" She was shocked at his outburst, she never thought that Carlos would tell him the truth. She must have been wrong about him. She still has a plan though. "T, he's manipulating you. It's clear that he doesn't want you to be close to me." She flinched when he yelled at her to leave the room.

She walked out knowing that TK just needed some time to calm down then he would come to his senses and dump Carlos. She went back to New York after leaving the hospital to find out everything she can about Carlos. Olivia went into TK's room to find him crying in Carlos's arms. When he told her what Amanda did she was beyond shocked and disappointed in her detective. "I am so sorry for how she treated you Carlos." She was shocked that he still spoke kindly about Amanda. He truly was something else.

"It's alright ma'am. I understand where she was coming from. She blames me for what happened to TK while we've been dating and I don't blame her."
