Kion: *somber* Tired... Moring gave me a tonic that should flush the rest of the toxicity out of my body by tomorrow.

Vivica: *concerned hum* Fast acting medicine is usually the roughest. She still thinking you'll be ready to get back to work as usual tomorrow?

Kion: She was fairly sure I would be feeling back to normal by then, though warned me not to overexert myself... She was disappointed to recommend that I not return to being her guardian tomorrow.

Vivica: What's wrong? You seem kind of sad, despite that being overall good news.

Kion: I think Moring might be overly interested in me.

Vivica: *unamused stare* We already went over the fact she's a magic mix and is obviously crushing on you. Not only that you told her you'd think about her outlandish request to become her protector... *epiphanic* Oh, are you just weirded out by her age? Keep in mind you can't actually do anything with her. Age aside, she's also completely off limits unless she someday becomes the Grigy-mu. So, what I'm saying is just let the girl have her little fantasy while taking care of you and don't make it weird. I'm sure she's well aware of how futile her fantasy crush really is. Even if you did for some reason take her request serious enough to try and become her protector, I highly doubt it would be allowed. Males are almost never protectors. I was reading about it last night, while you were sleeping. There have only ever been two male protectors in recorded history, and not just Ankarok history, but all of squi recorded history. With the main reason for that being that grigy-jhu have a hard time controlling themselves sexual with their protectors, and their protectors are honor bound to do whatever their grigy-jhu requests of them. so, in both cases the apprentice wound up having children before becoming the Grigy-mu... Though suppose that wouldn't be an issue for you...

Kion: I would suspect not.

Vivica: *epiphanic* Or is this about just being worried about her feeling sad if anything happens to you, like with Chy-su? Speaking of I hear her coming this way. Sounds like she's accompanied by De-su. Re-re and Li-li appear to be heading towards the lookout.

Kion: You can truly tell all that from hearing alone?

Vivica: Quite easily. You have to realize I've had a lot of practice listening to everything around here. That and I can literally hear Chy-su and De-su talking at this point. They're trying to figure out a good way to tell us about the fact Yi-su and Wa-su went with A-su and Te-su, and that Enky has assigned them to perpetual watch duty... and apparently that we've been temporarily promoted... oh wait no, they're going to leave that out and let Enky tell us himself.

Kion: H-how long is Yi-su going to be gone?

Vivica: *knowing smirk* Maybe you're really just feeling bad about thinking about Moring when Yi-su's already stolen your heart?

Kion: *blushing heavily* T-that's not it...

Vivica: *pained groan* Oh come on De-su... surely you know I can hear what you're saying... I guess not if you're willing to agree to—that.

Kion: *curious stare*

Vivica: Sorry. I got wrapped up in their conversation. They're both way too worried about how we're going to react to Yi-su being gone... though I guess given your reaction maybe it was a tad founded. Personally, I'm not worried about it, even if it is going to be a whole phase.
