Kion struggled to keep track of Vivica's movements, as she dashed around the obstacle course, that the pair had spent most of the day setting up, along with help from the others as they rotated in and out of watch duty.
When Vivica reached the end Kion called out her time for each section.
'''
Vivica: Veck... I thought I was doing way better that time too.
Kion: If you do too much better I'm going to have trouble timing you.
Vivica: To be fair, in order to have any chance of matching Mirra-su I'd need to be able to move faster than even I can track. *somber* As is, I doubt I'm even to Te-su's speed, and that's only in this synthetic environment.
Kion: I don't think that's anything to get upset about. You did just start taking your training seriously, you can't expect to be comparable to people in their prime.
Vivica: I know, you're right. It's just frustrating. To be honest I don't think I've ever tried my best to get better at something before... I'm having a hard time accepting that pushing myself to my limits means that I can barely see an improvement.
Kion: I've always been frustrated at how slow I improve, despite having always tried my best. Further more I often find that pushing myself to my limits more often than not leads to degradation and not improvement.
Vivica: That's not encouraging. I was hoping this was just beginner's struggles, and I'd hit a major breakthrough at any moment.
Kion: In my experience epiphanic realization can make things easier, but they can't cause sudden dramatic physical improvements.
Vivica: I don't know, there's gotta be some secret to it. Just look at Mirra-su, she has less muscle build than Rinowit, but can lift more than him. Bora is bulkier, and vastly older than Sha-su and Isalla-su, but is somehow vastly more agile than either.
Kion: *contemplative stare* I haven't really been around them enough to notice. In my family and with Kylola-su, I've never noticed anything like that. They all seem to be equal to how they appear.
Vivica: *awkward chuckle* Yeah~ for as much as I admire Kylola-su, I'll admit she's rather unremarkable when it comes to her raw abilities. She's astute, but other than that she's more or less on par with Isalla-su and Sha-su.
*short silence*
Kion: How many more loops do you want to try and do today?
Vivica: How many more until you get bored of tracking me?
Kion: I'm more concerned that you're pushing yourself too hard.
Vivica: That's for me to decide.
Kion: *concerned stare*
Vivica: H-hey don't look at me like that...
Kion: *pouting concerned stare*
Vivica: Okay-okay-okay, only one more loop... sheesh, I've never had a guy stare at me like that before... No wonder Mirra-su bends to Te-su.

Having a feeling it was pointless to try and argue with Vivica, Kion readied his hour glass and began timing Vivica once more.
Towards the end of the course as Vivica began climbing Kion noticed a sharp change in her movements and ran towards her. Halfway to her he noticed that she had fallen limp and dived to catch her before she hit the ground, torquing his ankle roughly in the process which caused him to roll across the ground while holding tightly onto Vivica to shelter her to the best of his abilities.
Upon coming to a halt Kion gently set Vivica on the ground before pulling out a red signal whistle and blowing on it. With the whistle blown Kion proceeded to check Vivica's breathing and look over her the best he could until Demoron, and shortly there after Enkoro arrived carrying Moring.
As soon as Enkoro sat Moring down she rushed over to Vivica and began looking over her while barraging Kion with a series of questions while Enkoro tended to his injuries.
After making no meaningful progress on a diagnosis Enkoro and Demoron began preparing to carry Vivica to the village when she suddenly sprang awake and jumped to her feet.
She looked around confused until her eyes landed on Kion which prompt her to ignore everything else and rush over to him.
'''
Vivica: *panicked* What happened, are you alright?
Kion: I'm fine, more importantly how are you?
Vivica: My well being is hardly important you're covered in bandages!
Enkoro: There's no need to worry all his wounds are fairly minor. Yours on the other hand are a mystery, what happened to you?
Vivica: Happened to me? *thoughtful stare* That's strange ... I can't really recall ... What was the last thing I was doing...
Kion: You were in the middle of climbing the tree in the obstacle course when you just suddenly fell limp.
Vivica: *confused* Obstacle crouse?
Demoron: *stunned* *worried* The one we're standing in right now, that we helped you setup this morning.
Vivica: *epiphanic* O~o yes, right, yeah, I remember that now... *pained cringe* I also remember Ki-su trying to talk me into calling it good for the day. I guess I was getting tireder than I thought. *awkward laughter*
Moring: *bemused stare*
Vivica: Y-you okay Moring?
Moring: Do you have any pain or strange feelings in your body?
Vivica: Nope, I feel great, actually. Like I just got up from a real good power nap.
Moring: *concerned hum*
Vivica: *pained* I'm real sorry Ki-su... I should have taken your concerns more seriously. Now you're hurt again because me.
Kion: It doesn't matter. I'm just glad you're alright. *content smile*
Moring: I'm going to have to ask you to come back to the village with us and let mother take a look at you.
Vivica: I'm sure she has better things to do, besides I'm feeling great.
Enkoro: You should do as she says.
Vivica: I'm not Ki-su, I'm not some kind of master liar. You'd know if I was hurt. *panicked* I-I'm sorry Ki-su I-I didn-
Kion: *dismissive wave* It's fine... but please go with Moring. *pleading gaze*
Vivica: *cringe* A-alright, if it means that much to you.
Kion: It does. *warm smile*
'''
Vivica gave Kion a long kiss then looked over to Moring.
'''
Vivica: When are we going?
Moring: Now would be my recommendation.
Enkoro: Mine as well, would you allow me to carry you?
Vivica: I can walk just fine. Seriously, I feel great, but you should get Kion up to the gathering before we leave.
Demoron: I'll take care of that.
Vivica: *raised eyebrow* You're going to carry Kion up?
Demoron: I was thinking I'd pull him up on a flat actually.
Vivica: But that means you're going to leave him alone on the ground while you prepare it.
Demoron: There's nothing dan...ger...ous... *hard gulp*
Vivica: *disapproving snarl*
Enkoro: I'll take him up then we can leave for the village.
Vivica: *content smile* Thank you.
