Kion: To tell the truth, I don't really know much of anything about the full moon from the female point of view.

Yineh: There's a lot of variance girl by girl, and moon by moon, but the basic super summarized expectation is that we start getting, "hot" a couple days before a full moon. During that time we'll have an intense, but still controllable, increase in sexual desire. When our heat reaches its apex, we become "obsessed" with a single person. At that point, we start slowly losing the ability to control ourselves. This normally happens the day of the full moon, but can sometimes happen before it. As the moon goes on, we'll get an increasing intense desire to stalk, capture, and, well, you know, to that obsession. Digressing once we've captured our obsession, we'll use them until we've "burned" ourselves out, sleep for a long while, then mostly be back to normal.

Kion: Could you explain the heat and obsession a bit more? I was under the impression that females hunted—all males through the full moon.

Yineh: That's not entirely wrong, but it's certainly not accurate either. During our heat, we're more sexually attracted to everyone and can become obsessed with anyone. That said, the normal stereotype is that we tend to prioritize non-immediate blood males that cross our paths. Once we have an obsession, it's extremely frustrating to break or change it, but doable for some girls, but not all. It takes an—immense amount of self-control to break an obsession and is therefore extraordinarily stressful. Which is why I'll temporarily hate you, but as Wafit said I'll forgive you once I've gone full cycle.

Lina: Most places are built with at least one saferoom that locks from the outside and has thin windows that can't be escaped from too. Just in case a girl who can't break an obsession gets one on someone she shouldn't.

Yineh: *cringe* I hate those rooms. I've spent three moons in them and never want to spend another.

Kion: I think I understand, though I certainly can't relate. I'm curious though, since it's a biological desire for mating, isn't it also frustrating to be with other females or a male like myself?
