Chapter 26

Nini's pov
I just arrived at my house it seems my moms aren't home yet, so I quickly go upstairs and lock the door. Not long after I hear crashing coming from downstairs. I get the door see if I can hear anything, and the second I go to the door I hear doorsteps coming upstairs. The second I realized they were coming to my room I quickly made sure the door was lock and hid in the corner. All I hear is banging on my door and yelling saying I need to let them in. I stay quiet hoping they will walk away, but that never happened. Suddenly the door got busted open and there where my moms with some man, I tried scooting away and remembered I was in a corner. "Grab her and hold her. Now!" The guy quickly came over to me and lifted me up. "Nick get in here!" My eyes go wide when did her get here. "Well we'll look what we have here." He came closer right up to my face.

"You know you really are a little bitch." I kept a straight face and spat on his face. I suddenly felt pain in my left eye, I tried to open it but I can't. "Nick we are supposed to hit her where people won't see it!" He turned to look at them. "It's fine she'll just have to put make up on it." Who said I'll do that, if people see it then people would believe me and not them, but that won't turn out well for me because the one reason I didn't want the police was because I'm still 17 I will get put into foster care, and I'm not going back. Never again that was the worst experience ever. I take a couple more hits till they all finally leave. I check my phone and see Gina texted me, so I open the text and of course she's asking me if I'm okay and she's worried because I haven't texted her back yet.

Gina's pov
I know Nini was in trouble with her mom over god who knows what, but I didn't want to push her she'll talk to me when she wants too. I am really worried about her I mean I know when Nini is lying. She always does her homework in class or in free period. She loves being ahead of the class. I leave school to go home, and as I enter it is as quiet as it always is. Nini knows about my home life and that my mom is never home, but since Nini has been busy it has been quieter than usual. I understand though her life went down hill this year.

My mom loves Nini she thinks of her as her own daughter, but I just haven't got the chance to tell her about Nini and I dating I know she won't mind. She is literally one of the most accepting person ever and it helps she likes Nini so much. I suddenly hear the door open, and hear my mom out for me, "Gina I'm home! Got off of work earlier than I expected!" (I don't remember if I had Gina living with Ash or if her mom was home but let's just have as Gina's mom is there but never home) wow that never happens I quickly run to my mom and give her a hug. "Hi mom." "No Nini today?" My mom asked. "Yeah she had to get home right after school."

My mom knows Nini's moms can be controlling she just doesn't know what they do to her. "I'm gonna go make dinner." As my mom headed to the kitchen to make dinner I head to my room and look at my phone to see if Nini texted. She hasn't yet, but I am going to wait a little and if I don't get a text soon I'll send a text to her and check up on her.
Nini's pov
I'm just laying in my bed to sore to do anything, it's not from only today but form everything. I can finally open my eye, but it is definitely not something I can easily cover up with make up. I'm not sure where my moms went or Nick but I don't care as long as they don't come up here. My phone buzzes and as I look at it I realize how long it's been, it's 9:48 pm and Gina texted me asking if I am okay.
Gina
Hey babe, just texting to ask how you are doing?

                       I'm okay, just when you see me tomorrow be aware there will be a mark on my face

Gina
At least it isn't to severe

                            Yeah you're right about that

After that I decided to take a shower and head to bed because I got all my homework done. I got my stuff to shower I really need the just to relax and cool off. I turn on the water and take my clothes off and hop in the shower.

As I'm in the shower I think about everything, and just think about how grateful I am to have Gina and my friends. I finish the shower dry off, and get changed once back in my room I lay on my bed. I check my phone and see Gina texted

Gina
Hey babe, gonna go to bed sleep well I love you.

I smile and respond back saying Goodnight and that I lover her too.
