"We're almost there!" Ms Momo exclaimed, clutching a guidebook filled with recommendations for our short stop, "You won't believe all the wonders this place has to offer. We've got just four hours, but I promise you, we'll make the most of it."

I mustered a weak smile, trying to match her enthusiasm, but my heart wasn't entirely in it. Even for just a few hours, being in here felt like a daunting task. Yet, I knew that this was an opportunity to explore a place I had never been before, and I didn't want to dampen my Ms Momo's excitement.

As we disembarked and stepped onto the bustling dock, Ms Momo led the way, eager to show me the hidden gems of this destination. The clock was ticking, and I hoped that by the end of our short visit, I could dispel the lingering fog in my mind. I caught a glimpse of her, stationed near the gangway as usual, supervising the departing passengers. Our eyes briefly locked. I averted my gaze, choosing not to acknowledge her presence.

Standing at the base of the thunderous waterfall, its deafening roar drowned out my jumbled thoughts and mixed emotions. The cascading water plummeted from great heights,  overpowering the chaotic noise in my head. I closed my eyes and let the misty spray embrace me, feeling the cool water droplets on my skin. Seeing a waterfall up close for the first time was truly overwhelming, enough to wash away the inner turmoil that had been plaguing me. Despite its loud and intimidating presence, it unexpectedly filled me with a profound sense of peace. It felt somehow, empty, the presence next to me. I brushed it off.

What was I thinking?

Leaving........

How did I live my life before all of this?
