Halo Eleven: Greg:

-Greg-

I love my job.

No little kid wants to grow up to work in an office or in a fast food restaurant. They usually want to be doctors, people in positions of power, celebrities, firefighters, or something more glamorous. Most of them don't get to be that way. Me? It changed all of the time. All I know is that my folks joked that I was born with a mouse in my hand. I don't mind it. I just get to show off my skills. Not just in the IT office. But I am getting ahead of myself.

Where was I going with this? Oh yeah. I love my job. I can spy on people's computers and get away with it. I have to to find out why their computers aren't working properly. Hiding anything from me won't work. I am going to find it. Just pray that you aren't up to no good. Otherwise, I won't say a word.

Man, I love my job. Have I already said that? I can't stress that enough. I will probably say it again soon.

Hijiribe Ruri has gone missing. She was last seen around the Jack 'O'Lantern building on November 13th, 2015, around nine in the evening. Surveillance showed two women approaching Hijiribe just outside of the building. They looked like they were talking to the idol. The conversation didn't last long. About three minutes later, Ruri walked off with the women. There was no struggle. She just walked off with them. But something wasn't right. Hijiribe moved as if she was in a trance. She followed the women off-camera.

That video went viral as soon as hit the news. Rumors spread all over the internet like a virus. Some fans thought the women were aliens. A few thought that Hijiribe would be a victim of human trafficking. However, eagle eyes noticed the type of clothes that the women were wearing.

"Those are miiko robes," one netizen said. This prompted a closer look. Sure enough, the mysterious women were dressed in robes. Whispers of Ruri joining a cult quickly reared its ugly head. They would have no idea.

Meanwhile, the police were digging into the kidnapping of Hijiribe Ruri. Yes, this was a kidnapping. Kasuka was the one to phone the police. The case began right away. The police only had that video as a lead. There wasn't much they had to go by. The women looked to be in their thirties to forties. They did their best to avoid the camera. No one managed to get a good look at their faces. Only Ruri's face was visible. The quality of the video left so much to be desired but it was good enough to make out the idol and her abductors on film.

The agency issued an award for the safe return of Hijiribe Ruri. Tips have been flying in left and right. So far, nothing has panned out. The diol had been missing for weeks. She wouldn't show up again until December.

"Do you have any plans for Christmas?" Kuriyama asked. I didn't look up until someone pushed on my arm.

"Huh?" I asked.

"I was asking you if you have any plans for Christmas," she said.

"No..." I said. "Why?" She shrugged with a weird look on her face.

"Just making conversation," she said. I didn't respond. Kuriyama's computer had slowed down again. I had to be the one to fix it. It wasn't going to take long. I sat back from her computer when the cleaning process was complete.

"Here you are," I said. "Good as new."

"Yay! You're the best!" Kuriyama said. I stood up and bowed. I turned and walked back to the basement. It's not that I don't like her. It's just that our personalities clash. Kuriyama talks incessantly and mostly about nothing. I don't get why she tries to talk to me every chance that she gets. We aren't that close. Good thing she has her own set of friends here. Otherwise, I would probably end up stabbing her.
