What is Life to Me
Anonymous
The first things that come up in my mind when I hear life are having parents, being loved by your family, having friends like they’re your family like my friends in Nest, doing sins, having regrets, being ashamed, having fun, being angry or being hated and etc. And I think having a life is a once in a lifetime opportunity and that you are given one life to live. I feel sad when I see young people who have died and didn’t have a chance to spend more time with their parents or make a difference in the world. Life is also about abandoning dream after dream and the time to kiss childish play goodbye. The first part might be fake to everyone, but to me it’s real that we might abandon some of our dreams. And you know, if you want a good dream to live on, God will give you a better dream that you can live for your entire life.
Also, life is like a rose that blooms, but the thorns are like the sins that you made, but after that, you can learn what not to do. That’s why our parents are always beside us to teach and to guide us. Life is also about maturing or getting older while time passes. You’ll graduate from middle school like me, who’s leaving Nest soon. I will be sad to know about leaving the school that loved you and all those memories with my friends which I will not forget. And soon, I will be in seventh grade then high school.
Then college and the future will be reality: we will have kids, wives or husbands, and have nice jobs. Also, as time passes we will remember each other when we are in middle school. We will thank God for giving us a life to live, even though that life might end one day. We must enjoy the life God gave us and be ready when the time comes. Having parents is part of your life too: they have given what you need to grow properly and they love you; that love is more precious than any riches. Friends too: they have fun with you, play with you, and make you laugh, like your brothers and sisters. The love they gave you is that they’d take care of you and always be there for you in any situation. And life wouldn’t be challenging if you don’t have problems: tests for you on what you will do in any situation. And committing sins is a bad thing but sometimes you do sins to solve a problem, although it will just make it worse. So even if you apologize to that person you will always remember that you did an awful thing—learn that too from mistakes.
Maturing would prove that you will be learning new things that you need to know and it would prove that you’re near graduating and moving to another school, like me. I’ll be moving to Maria Montessori soon to continue school, but when the time comes, you will finish school and have a job like others have and life will be continuing for you and others like a cycle.
