**TRIGGER WARNING**

Panic filled me this time as I realized where I was.
"GOLDFISH?!" I yelled into the nothingness.
"Hey, kid, not so loud!"
I started to calm down as I looked above and that taunting light stared back down at me.
"What happened when I was here last?"
"Well, kid, you almost died, but like I had said, it wasn't your time."
"Is that why Heaven wasn't here?"
"No.."
He grabbed me then, and down we went back to the familiar path.
It was darker than I had remembered.
Not only did I find my fireflies there to meet me but also a newcomer as well.
This orb of light was bigger, probably about the size of my hand, and it glowed red.
"What is that?"
"You've made someone very unhappy in this past life. Just ignore it, and it won't bother you."
"Are the fireflies new?"
"Fireflies? Oh, no. Some of them may be, but the rest are still the same. They belong to souls that have connected with your own in any life."
I stuck my hand out to feel them. They were still warm and brought me comfort.
"So, what exactly happened, and why was Heaven not there?"
"Well, kid, I've only seen it happen so often. It was the way in which you almost died."
"Go on..."
"Suicide, kid. You tried to kill yourself."
"Why would I do that?"
"Probably to escape that hard life and come back here to start again."
"But, you said I don't remember anything."
"You don't, but your soul does, kid."
We began walking down the path again. We walked in silence this time. My mind was racing. Soon though, almost too soon, we were met with my next life. I felt Goldfish's boney fingers as he shoved me forward.
"See you next time, kid!"
