You hugged the couch cushion tightly to your chest, tears still staining your cheeks as you spoke. You tried as best as you could to explain what just happened to Shoko but your emotions were getting the better of you. "So he just stormed out? That's so unlike him.. I'm so sorry y/n" she soothed whilst handing you a tissue.
"I just don't understand it. Why is he saying these things?"

Shoko couldn't answer you, even she was completely blindsighted by Suguru's extreme change in attitude and values.
You reached to the table and cradled the cup of hot chocolate that your roommate had made you. The heat exuding from the mug provided a small amount of solice. You took a sip, inhaling the deep coco scent to try and regulate your breathing.

An urgent hammering on your front door made you flinch. Every bone in your body prayed this wasn't Geto, you couldn't handle a round two.

Shoko curled a loose strand of your ivory hair behind your ear affectionately and then made her way to the door. "If it's Geto, please don't let him in. I just can't handle that right now"
She nodded and clicked the door handle down, the door swinging open.

Satoru.

Your crimson pupils found his cerulean ones, instantly filling with tears. Your bottom lip began to tremble. "Satoru.."
He doesn't even acknowledge Shoko, his muscle memory taking over he rushes to your side. Cupping your face in his hands he lifted your head to face him. "I'm here now. Please don't cry, I'm here and I'm not going anywhere"
His thumbs softly caress the tears away from your flushed cheeks, the concern on his face unwavering.

Shoko stood in the kitchen stirring the sugar into her own coco. She couldn't help but watch the way you both interacted with eachother. You moved, he moved. You were like magnets to eachother.

You sat and tried to explain the conversation with Gojo. It was difficult as you didn't really understand the context of it yourself. Geto had completely blindsighted you and neither you or your two friends could understand their fellow senpais current mindset.

The whole time you spoke, Gojo cradled your hand lovingly. You were so worked up you hadn't even noticed the tender graze of his thumb across your skin.
"I want to take you somewhere.." he cut in. The words in your mouth fall short as you listen to him intently.
"Will you come with me for a drive?"

Was it even surprising that Gojo had a nice car? Probably not.

You leaned back onto the comfortable leather seats in his vehicle, gaze fixed on the amber street lights as they flashed past. It reminded you of the first night you met Satoru. That timid little girl in the car with her mother about to meet the boy she'd been arranged to be married to.
The thought still lingering in your mind, you turned to him. He had one hand firmly placed on the steering wheel, the other arm lazily slumped on the centre arm rest, his fingers still grazing your arm affectionately. He wasn't dressed in anything particularly special, he'd quickly thrown on a black Nike hoodie and joggers when he'd got the call from Shoko.

You thought he looked beyond beautiful.
Recent events had really shown you a different side to him, he wasn't just arrogant and immature. He was caring, intelligent, handsome and funny. All of the things you'd once cherished in Geto you were now seeing in the man you'd been matched with.
"It's rude to stare you know" he grinned, his azure eyes still fixed on the road ahead. You let out a small giggle for the first time in a long time. That sound was like music to his ears.

"We're here"

You took a quick scan of your surroundings, it definitely wasn't familiar to you. He'd parked up on a cliff side somewhere, there were huge looming trees scattered around the rocky edge. It was peacefully quiet, the sound of rushing cars on a distant highway could be heard.
"I need you to get out for just a sec" he started to pull off his black hoodie, exposing his bare abdomen for a moment. He handed you the warm garment and you pressed it lovingly into your nose as you exited the car. The refreshing breeze hit you before you had chance to slip it over your head.

Gojo started to fumble around in the backseats, clinking and cracking noises emitting from the vehicle. "Ok ok, you can come back now"
He opened up the backseat for you and a huge smile spread across your face.
He'd pushed the rear seats back into a flat position, a blanket was nearly arranged over the top with pillows messily slumped near the front seat head rests. The sunroof had been fully opened exposing a clear night sky, the stars crystal clear above you.

You slid in next to him, your bodies in extremely close proximity to eachother considering the limited space in the car.
He laid flat on his back and you copy, gazing up at the infinity.

"I come here a lot y'know" he began. "Its my private get away place, somewhere I can think and let everything out"
You didn't respond, you just continued to listen to him intently. "I'm sharing this place with you now. You come here whenever you want, ok?"
He leaned back to his side, face daringly close to yours. You hummed and gave a gentle nod in appreciation.

You then turned to face him, both of you now staring directly into eachothers eyes. "Whatevers going on with Suguru will pass y/n"
You tensed when hearing his name, you'd forgotten all about him, the guilt now flooding over you like a tidal wave.
He noticed body react to hearing his name. "I'm sorry.. I won't talk about him anymore"

He observed you for a few moments as you continued to stare up at the sky. You felt his eyes intensely watching you. "Is everything ok?"

"No.. not really" he hesitated for a moment, nerves getting the better of him.

"I can't believe it's taken me this long to say but, I'm in love with you y/n. Always have been, always will be"

Always have been, always will be"
