You casually flicked through the menu of the restaurant while waiting for the remainder of your friends to arrive.
Junghoo's was a popular Yakiniku restaurant in Kyoto, you and your friends frequented it on special occasions.

The eatery was rustic, the floors and walls completely constructed of an earthy oak. Your senpais had reserved one of the booths at the back that had a moderate amount of privacy and allowed you to be a bit louder than if you were situated in the main restaurant.
The glossy timber table had a grill at its centre, it emitted warmth as it eagerly awaited the various foods it was going to grill. Gojo sat to your right noisily chatting away to Shoko who was perched on the opposite side. Kento was sat quietly to your left, also observing the menu card.

"Ugh it's so typical of Mei to be late" Satoru groaned in annoyance, he wasn't much of a 'sitting to eat for a sophisticated meal' type. Kento glanced at his watch making note of the time, it was 9pm. You couldn't help but think about Suguru, he should of been here celebrating and trying to get life back on track. Your fingers gripped at the menu tighter which didn't go unnoticed by Satoru and Shoko.
"The party has arrived" Mei's alluring voice catching your attention. You stand up to greet your silver haired friend. She wrapped her arms around you in a warm embrace. "Happy Birthday y/n"

You crammed the last bit of deliciously cooked rare beef into your mouth, you were absolutely stuffed. You leaned back, resting your head on the black leather seat to take a momentary breather.
"Another round of tequila please" Mei lifted her hand up to gain the waiters attention. There was no point in arguing with Mei, you'd be having that shot no matter what your excuse was.
The young male quickly ushered over your drinks, a shot for each of you.
In the centre of the tray of drinks were some freshly sliced lemons and a salt shaker.

You smiled, why fight it? No point being miserable. If you can't beat them, join them.

You lifted your hand to your face and tenderly licked the surface of your skin. You could see Satoru out of the corner of your eye and his face was a look of shock. Your hot girl vibes with Mei were no stranger to him but he wasn't expecting your sudden change in demeanor.
You reached for the salt shaker and gently sprinkled some of the white granuals ontop of the trail of saliva you'd left. Once you were satisfied there was enough salt to at least make the shooter a bit more tolerable, you took the glass filled with transparent liquid and placed it to your soft pink lips.
"Cheers"

You lick the salt off of your skin and tip the alcohol down your throat, quick to ensure as little as possible touched your tongue. You winced slightly as the heat of the liquor burned your throat. Quickly you grabbed the slice of lemon and press it to your lips. The citrus juices were a welcome relief.

"Holy hell. How did you make that so hot?" Satoru stuttered, gulping back a mouthful of saliva. Shoko kicked him from under the table. "Ouch! ...Shit Shoko, it's true!"
You grin and turn to the others. "Come on then, don't leave me hanging!"

"Did you see his face" your laughter loudly filled the streets as you and Shoko stumbled arm in arm to Shochu's. "Yep! You've got him wrapped around your pinky" she slurred, pulling her little finger out and wiggling it in front of your face.
You swatted it away playfully, spinning on your heels to check how far the others were. Gojo and Kento were walking not to far behind with Mei. Utahime was planning on meeting us at Shochu's due to a family event she'd had earlier in the night.
