Escaping Lucifer's Bed

8. YOU BELONG TO ME.

Athena's POV:

I tried to keep my thoughts out from Lucifer. But he's all I could think about the whole day. I would space out and there he was popping in my head again and again. 

My body seems to remember his every touch. The way his lips taste. And how he would look at me like he's been longing for me. Those piercing blue eyes are full of lust, anger, and a mix of longing when they look at me.

Lucifer is a mysterious man but there is something very familiar about him. His every touch, the way he kisses me, his possessiveness towards me. My body seems to remember all of it but my mind can't. "Just who exactly is he?". I ask myself but then later snap out of it.

I was done with my task so I helped in washing the dishes with Katherine instead.

"So, Athena, what made you work here?". She asked out of nowhere and I turned to her.

"I need money to get an operation for my little brother and this is the only job I stumbled upon to help me save up". I replied, turning in the sink and rinsing the soap from the plates. I then handed it to Katherine and she dried it with a clean white towel.

"Hmmm I see, you're a great sister". She put the dried plates into the tray while nodding at my remarks.

"And what about you?". I ask her back.

"Nothing special, I didn't mean to become a maid here but in this way I could pay the man who saved my life from a nightmare, you know just a payback for what he did to me". She smiled looking down remembering something.

"He must have been a pretty good man". I commented.Katherine nods her head in approval.

"I don't know what would happen to me if our Boss didn't save me four years ago. Maybe I'll be dead by now." I saw a glint of sadness pass her eyes for a moment but she quickly blinked it off.

"By boss??, You mean Lucifer right?". I ask out of curiosity. 

"Yupp you guess right. If he hadn't saved me from those kidnappers, my life would have been in hell now. But he came and gave me a new life, he gave me a house when I have nowhere else to go , food and a job".She looks so happy saying those things as if those are the most precious memories she had.

"I even tried to seduce him as far as stripping naked in front of him but..... he rejected me saying, He didn't save me so i could be his but because he can see someone in me and he couldn't bear seeing her in that situation. He said she's his life, but he fuck up and ruined everything for them." I look at her with confusion. Her story seems so familiar.

"Then what happened to them?." I couldn't help but ask for further intrigue in the story. Her expression went to a sad one.

"She ran away from him,,, and his world broke into pieces.... but you know what? Until now, he watches over her in the shadows, afraid of showing himself or he will end up hurting her again." After she said those words  i felt a sudden pain in my head. Katherine drop the plate and rushed to me.

" Athena what's wrong?". She panickly stated but i couldn't understand her as the pain became worse and my vision started to become blurry.

"Athena". I suddenly heard cries but I couldn't figure out who it was. The voice became louder in my head.

"Athena,, Don't leave me please,Athena, please,please i don't know what to do without you,, please don't leave me,, Athena ,I Love you". Those are the words I last heard before darkness consumed me.

My eyes opened as I stared at the ceiling. I look around and I realize I was in my room.

"Thank god you're awake". I heard Daniela say from the door and I turned to her holding a tray with medicine in it. I weakly smiled at her as she walked towards me.

"What happened?". I ask.

"You collapsed in the kitchen a while ago , didn't you remember?". She was confused and my memory flooded in.I slowly got up from bed and rested my head on the headboard of the bed.

"Yeah, I remember now". She smiled and put the tray at the side table in my bed. She took a tab of what seems to be medicine and handed it to me with the water.

"Here, drink this". I took the pill from her hand along with the water and drank it. I muttered a thank you before handing the glass to her. 

"Are you feeling better now?". She asks, concerned.

"Yeah, kinda, maybe its because i  haven't drink my medicine for months now." I replied.

"Medicine?. Are you ill?". She took a seat beside me as she asked me.

"Not really, My parents made me take those medicine for my own good". I smiled bitterly. I haven't bought some medicine cuz i was saving up for my brother and it coz a little much so i didn't bother taking those anymore.

"I understand, I must go ,I still have something to do". She said before stooding up to leave the room.

"Thanks again". She just nods as a reply and walks out to the door. I was left all alone again and I couldn't help but wonder who that crying voice belonged to.

The voice was so sad as if he's losing everything he had at that time. There was a pure suffering and agony in his tone. I felt broken and pitied him but anger shove those feeling away.

"Wait, why am I angry?." I felt my head hurting again so I stopped thinking about it. I got up and walked outside the house to get some fresh air when I found myself in the garden again admiring the flowers.

"You really love flowers don't you?". I jumped and I heard Joshua laugh loudly beside me.

I stare at him in anger and he pinch my cheeks still laughing. I shove his hand away and hit him in the head.

"Ouch, that hurts". He groaned from the pain.

"That's what you get for startling me". I commented and he smile sweetly.

"Alright, I'm sorry princess".

"Don't call me princess or I'll hit you again". He just laughs before bending down pulling the little wild grass growing beside the Tulips. I stood at his back and watched him doing his job.

Suddenly a small particle of soil got in my eye and I gasped. Joshua quickly stood up and checked my eye that started to water.

"Hold on, I'll blow it out". He said and started to get his face closer to mine so he could blow my eye and I smiled awkwardly trying not to think about feeling his breath on me.

It wasn't long when my hair stood out as I felt a pair of eyes shooting daggers at me. I tried to look from the direction where it came from but I couldn't tilt my head towards that side.

"There it's out". I heard Joshua snapping me from my thoughts. I blinked my eyes and thanked Joshua for removing it. 

I felt the stars were gone and when I looked at the direction where it came from I found no one.

"What are you looking at". Joshua ask bringing me back to reality. His gaze was now in the direction where I'm looking.

"Ahh Nothing, I should go now,, Bye joshua, it's nice talking to you again." I wave goodbye to him before walking back inside the house.

"See ya around princess". I heard him say before disappearing from his sight.

It was almost night so i decided to take an afternoon bath instead.I walk over to my room only to see an angry Lucifer waiting in my bed as he stares at me  like he's ready to kill me anytime 

sending   shivers down my spine.

"Let's have fun shall we kitty?". He said dangerously.
