10. That kiss

Athena's POV:

It was Saturday today. I wake up very early along with the other maids as we are instructed to work advanced as an important guest arrives today.

I took a 15 minutes bath. Dried my hair up and made it into a messy bun. I didn't bother wearing makeup since I'm not really fond of putting something on my face. I quickly put on my uniform and stared at myself in the mirror.

"Just the same plain boring Athena". I said it in my mind but I couldn't help feeling a little upset. To be honest, I don't find myself attractive yet everyone says i have a god like feature and i found it hard to believe.

"I miss you so much". I can't help recalling Lucifer's words in my head. What does he mean by those words?. Why can't I forget his eyes full of longing and regret. Just what in the world happened to him. He still looks so broken yet........

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard someone knocking on my room.

"Athena are you there?". The familiar feminine voice spoke outside. I'm sure it's Sam's voice base from her sweet tone she always had.

"Coming in a second". I replied back and began to walk on the door and open the doorknob. I was met with a smiling face by Sam and I frowned at her.

"Hey". She giggles. Alright. I'm sure something or someone exactly made her smile from ear to ear like that. It must be a handsome gorgeous man for sure as she is addicted to those types of men.

"What's with the creepy smile?". I ask trying to act innocent although i already knew the reason behind it. She giggles more and winks at me.

"Actually..." She started as we began walking at the stairs.

"Boss's bestfriend is coming today and ahhhhh" . She squeals at the thought of him. Damn this girl is an easy lover asf. I just watch her with amusement written in my eyes as she starts to blubber about this guy named "Axel" who happened to be Lucifer's best friend. 

My thoughts suddenly drifted back to Lucifer. I can't help but wonder

Why does he bother to do those things with me?. I don't like being humiliated but...i always get drowned by those beautiful blue orbs when they stare at me with anger, lust and emotions i can't see from people's eyes but him alone. But neither was it good or bad intentions he had for me. I should keep my distance around him if I don't want to get molested again and again.

Finally, it felt like forever when we descended from the bottom of the stairs and hurriedly went to the kitchen. We met all the maids in the house and Daniela started to guide everyone on each of our work.

"Athena, you are assigned to clean every guest room on the third floor and make sure it's spotless, especially the toilets and so on". She instructed and I nodded. 

Once she was done instructing us on our task. We walk out of the kitchen to do our work. I grab the things I will use in cleaning and start to make my way up the stairs.

There was an elevator but I didn't bother to use it in case maids are not allowed to step on it and took the hard way towards the third floor.

After 5 minutes. I arrived at my destination. I stood there and looked at my surroundings. The wall was all painted white and the big chandelier hanging on the roof was more visible to me now.

I looked to my left and there were at least five rooms I noticed in there and another five on my right. Which means I have to clean at least ten rooms before the night comes and visitors need a room to sleep.
