Athena's POV:
Snapping out of my thoughts. I got up and went downstairs to the kitchen where all the maids stare at me with curiosity in their eyes.
"What happened to you?.. you're as pale as a ghost." Katherine commented and all of them nod in approval.
I shook my head and sat on the chair beside Sam. "Nothing happened, I-im just tired". I blankly added but it doesn't seem to convince them.
"Anyway.. prepare the table". All of us got up and helped each other arrange the table so we could eat.
We sat in silence and ate quietly when Sam squealed by my side. We all turn our gaze to her.
"Did you guys meet Axel?". She blushed at the thought of him.
"Yeah you bet, he's as handsome as ever". Katherine replied.
"Did you meet him by any chance, Athena?". Sam turned to me. Come to think of it, we did bump into each other.
"Ahmmm yeah. I met him a while ago". Was all I could say.
"Don't you think he's hot?". She asked. I nod my head in approval. I tried to remember our encounter a while ago and can't help but develop this strange feelings and suspicion.
"Does he know me?". I ask myself. Sam and the others keep talking but I'm lost in my own thoughts. I was bothered when he said we're best friends and we haven't met for a long time.
"Who are those people?... or should I say Who am I?".
"Ahhhh". I groaned, feeling my head hurting again. I fell down the floor touching my head. I pulled my hair and my visions starts to darken. They all turned to me in panic.
"Hey Athena". I couldn't figure out who that voice was anymore.
"Athena, athena what's happening?". I just keep screaming as the pain is becoming unbearable every second. My head starts to sweat and my breath is becoming ragged. I close my eyes and keep groaning.
"What happened to her?". A manly panic voice rushed over me and picked me up. I can feel myself carried in a bridal style.
"We don't know the boss, she suddenly started to faint all of the sudden".
"Arghhh,, it hurts, it hurts". I cried in pain. My nose starts to bleed and I'm slowly losing consciousness.
"Athena please wait......". I keep running and running while my tears fall down on my face. "Athena please let's talk please". I can hear someone's muffled cries but I can't remember him.
"NO NO NO ATHENA, STOOOPPPPP". I heard a car approaching and my body getting run over. It wasn't long before everything starts get dark and my body covered in blood.
"Athena, p-please ba-be d-ont close your eyes please,, I-i can't bear to lose you". Says the man crying in front of my blooded figure. I couldn't see his face clearly.
"Please don't cry. It hurts seeing you so broken. Please don't cry". I said to myself. "I love you so much". Was all I heard before everything went dark.
I woke up panting and my breath hitching. My head is sweating as well as my heart beating so fast. I touch myself and look at myself. I sighed in relief when I didn't see any trace of blood in my body. I touched my head and thank god everything was okay.
"What happened to you?". I was startled by a voice coming from my right side. My eyes widened when I saw Lucifer looking at me with worried and serious eyes. I just look at him without moving a flinch.
"Athena, why did you faint?". He asks again, snapping me out of my trance.
"I-i was just tired from work and had a bad dream". Was all I could say turning my head avoiding his gaze.
"Bad dream?". He asked in curiosity. "What is this bad dream of yours?".
"It's nothing special, don't bother about it". I smiled a small smile at him to reassure him it was ok. I don't know why I don't want him to get worried though.
"Tell me". He commanded and I shook my head not to tell.
"I won't repeat myself again, now tell me". I stayed silent, unable to say anything.
"Athena,you'd better tell me or you'll get fired". He added with a hint of seriousness in his tone. I can't be fired ,I need money. I panicked and started explaining things.
"There was this G-girl who got run over by a truck thats all". His eyes widened as if he didn't expect what I said.
"Do you remember more?". Now his standing is getting closer to me and I move back.
"No, no that was all". There was a glint of relief but at the same time sadness flash through his eyes but he quickly hide it and return to normal.
He walked out of the bed after saying "Whatever was in the past don't let it control your future". Was all he said before walking out of the door. I sat in the bed in silence trying to comprehend everything.
Somehow, everything starts to get weirder after I meet Lucifer.
I was startled when my phone rang at the bedside table. I quickly grabbed it and saw that Ashley was calling me. I answered it and pressed it to my ear.
"Hello". I started. The other line was still silent. Moments later I felt a sob escaping her lips.
"Athena Your brother is on the verge of death". Suddenly my whole world stops.
.......
I know its a short chapter but I'll try to update more as soon as i can. We just have a lot of school stuffs to do right now so it might be long till i'll update again.
And im also starting a new book,, its titled Dangerous Obssession. It will be written in taglish and i will publish it sooner,, hope you guys will read that one too👍🙂
