Ruby knew how she was thankful that Simon had woken up. She had been worried that she was going to lose him.

She was pregnant with his baby. And she didn't want to lose him. Not with all they had been through.

They had overcome so much together and they were having a baby. Ruby knew how people had been severely against them. But she didn't care.

She wanted to be with him. She wanted to make it work with him. Not just for the sake of the baby. But for her too. She didn't want to be without him.

He had changed her life and she felt as though he had come at the right time. He was her father's best friend. She knew that. But they had a connection. They always had.

Ruby didn't regret anything what had happened. She had her baby and she had Simon. Which was all she wanted.

All she knew was that things had changed. And she had no idea how to even make it all seem as though it was worth it.

Morning came and she was lying in bed texting Simon. She smiled as he told her he was going back to work that day.

She couldn't wait to see him. But she knew she would need to be careful so that neither of them got into any trouble.

The door opened and Esmè walked in. She smiled. "Mum has gone to London for a meeting. So I'm in charge. Behave or you're grounded for eternity and a day," she said.

Ruby rolled her eyes. She smiled. "You're not funny. I hope you know that. Besides I'm pregnant. What could I possibly get up to?"

"You'd be surprised at what I got up to when I was pregnant," Esmè said as she turned and walked out.

Ruby smiled. She loved having a sister that understood how she felt and what she was going through.

She climbed out of bed and walked down to the kitchen. She smiled as she saw Darcie. Darcie giggled. "Mummy ground me!" She squealed.

Ruby raised her eyebrows. She looked to her. "Oh wow. What did you do?" She asked.

"I just say I no want my breakfast. And she ground me!" Darcie told her.

"Wow."

Ruby went into school. She saw Simon and smiled. She walked over to him. "Welcome back sir. I trust you're okay?" She said.

"Thank you Ruby. I'm fine. How are you?" Simon asked as he discreetly placed a hand on her bump.

Ruby grinned. "I'm good. We both are."

"Good. Head inside. And I'll come find you in a bit," Simon told her as he smiled. He watched as she walked inside.

He knew how he had risked everything to be with her. But he didn't care. He loved her and she was having his baby.

Ruby was sitting in the common room. She smiled as Simon walked in. Esmè behind him. "Listen here dumbos. I'm giving you both twenty minutes. Do what needs to be done."

Ruby grinned as Esmè turned and left. She looked to Simon. "What's going on?" She asked.

"Your sister has told me today that she's going to help us be a family."

Ruby grinned. But was this the beginning of her life finally coming together?
