~ He knows... ~

Friday.

Matt's pov

I woke up with my alarm blaring in my ears, fuck i was so tired, I thought about our almost kiss all night, what would've happened if solstice hadn't swerved, gosh i hate her for that. I grabbed my phone and stopped the alarm before struggling to get out of bed. Once I got out I started my shower.

I was finished showering and I just needed to get my outfit and fix my hair, I chose a black ransom hoodie and blue jeans. I combed my hair, I know I said I only needed those two things but I need a Red Bull, and a kiss from solstice. 

I walked downstairs only to find Nick and Chris on their phones while stuffing toast in their mouths. What else should have I expected?

"Let's go, solstice is probably waiting on us cause of your slow ass." Nick snapped. I headed towards the car and started it. Once it had started I was on my way to solstice's house.

I honked the horn, cause she was late, as usual. She came rushing out of the house. Her hair was down and it was curly, beautiful and well put together. She was wearing a black shirt with blue jeans.  Once she got in the car Chris yelled "Oh my gosh! You and matt are matching!" Nick looked "Oh my gosh you are!" Solstice stared smiling and said "He obviously stole my fit first, because only I make beautiful outfits." "So we're not gonna talk about you wearing green and yellow?" I teased her, "Oh my gosh it was only 6th grade!" Solstice stated before slapping my arm playfully. 

We walked towards math class, her shoulder brushing mine, and our hands brushing against eachother, I could tell she was blushing. It wasn't as some point she started laughing, "what?" I asked, "just thinking about yesterday when I swerved." She said before bursting into a fit of laughter, "shut the fuck up it wasn't funny." I rolled my eyes before pushing her, she yelled "hey!" She shoved me, and started running towards math to escape me. 

Once we arrived I sat down and decided to make her jealous, after all she deserved it since she swerved me yesterday. So when I sat down and saw some girl handing me a note, I read it and purposely bit my lip and wrote something down it and gave it back, the girl who slipped me the note started smiling when she read my notes and winked at me. I could definitely feel solstice's eyes on me, I noticed her roll her eyes and glared at the girl before turning her attention to the teacher. I could feel the ignoring she was going to give me today.

Once math was over she didnt say a word. When we were in the hallway she went into the bathroom, I could tell she was pissed. I walked towards my locker when another girl walked up towards me and started small talk before she started flirting with me, damn do I have bitches. Once I noticed solstice leave the bathroom, she just stared at the girl rubbing my arm and flirting. I saw her knuckles as white as a ghost. She stopped breathing and just walked away towards english. Damn was I screwed.

During English no words were spoken between us. I noticed some girl eyeing me though. Yay? I guess. Apparently Solstice had noticed too, I could hear her grinding her teeth. But to be honest I don't know why she's so jealous. It's not like we're dating. Then it hit me. She had a fucking crush on me! Oh my gosh! She, the solstice esmeray had a fucking crush on me! 

I was still baffled during lunch that solstice had a crush on me. I told nick and Chris when wasn't present, apparently I was the only one who didn't know she liked me, "You're a dumbass Matt, it has been so obvious for fucking ages!" Nick made it sound obvious. When I saw solstice coming back I was quick to shut nick and Chris up. She hadn't eaten anything for lunch, which was odd. Maybe she just had a big ass breakfast. Or maybe she lost her appetite because she's so upset. 

After lunch when I walked past an empty classroom I heard muffled sobs, I peaked through the window only to see Solstice hugging nick and crying on his shoulder. He was rubbing her back and was comforting her. Shit I feel horrible now. 

I walked towards the girl I flirted with during math class today and told her I wasn't interested in her, she didn't argue but instead nodded her head. 

Then today when I was in science class I noticed solstice looked awful, she looked tired and like she had just gotten done with crying, well no shit sherlock. 

That morning me and solstice had already planned on doing our project after school, it dreads me to think about how she's going to act during studying.

Time skip to studying

"I saw you crying earlier." I whispered, she lifted her head up, "I was crying cause I knew that you weren't interested me and that's why I fucking swerved yesterday! That's the only fucking reason I swerved and you only proved you weren't interested when you were flirted with those girls today! And the worst part, I lost my lizard somewhere in my house and I fucking dropped my bagel on my bathroom floor! Then I fucking got face wash AND shampoo in my eyes this morning, then my fucking makeup wouldn't  go on right!" She choked out, "and I'm on my fucking period." She whispered while sniffling, "I- nick is a great comforter if I'm being honest." She whispered, again while she sniffled and tears still forming in her eyes. 

I was speechless, the only way I could answer her was holding my arms out for a hug, she crawled into my arms and cried on my chest. I rubbed her back and comforted her in the best way I could. "Solstice, honey,  I am interested in you, I was just pissed that you swerved me yesterday, so I decided I would make you jealous to get back at you. It was wrong, I know but I couldn't think of anything else. And sweetie, I do like you, not just as a best friend but as a significant other." I lifted her head up and planted a kiss on her forehead, "would you like to go to the movie theaters?" I asked her wiping away her tears, she nodded her head, got up and walked towards my closet and grabbed a hoodie of mine, she put it on and headed downstairs.

A/n. I'll probably double update just bc I was really feeling it in this chapter,  and I didn't want y'all to have to read a whole ass Harry Potter book in one chapter.
