Solstice's pov

Matt and nick quickly got over their argument and now we we're driving to the party.

Matt parked in the drivewave, there were flashing purple and blue lights inside of the house, there was music on but not too terribly loud. I sighed and got out of the car.

I walked in the house and was immediately greeted by the heavy smell of alcohol and cigarette. I felt someone grab my hand, I quickly recognized it to be matts hand, "Soo, what do we do now?" I leant up to his ear and asked, he shrugged his shoulders and lead us to the kitchen, "Matt im not drinking." I told him, red solo cups were everywhere. "I never said you were, I was just bringing us to the kitchen so we could sit there for a bit." He pulled my hand, bringing me closer to him.

He sat on the kitchen counter with a cup with apple juice in his hand. "Matt dont drink that, in fact dont drink anything nor eat anything." I shook my head and took the cup out of his hand and dumped it in the sink, "Why?" He asked, looking at me. "There could be substances in the drink. Its kinda common knowledge, you never heard the saying 'never take things from strangers'" I looked at him and got up to sit next to him, "Yes I have. Guess i just didnt think about it." He looked down at his lap.

Nick and chris pulled matt and I to some group with the host of the party. She had long blonde hair with green eyes and freckles spreading from her cheeks to her nose. "Solstice come with me!" Chris said, he grabbed my arm and dragged me away, I looked at matt, shrugged my shoulders then kept following chris.

"Ill give you $50 if you jump in the pool, fully clothed." He said, he stopped us at the ledge of the pool. "No, ill give you $50 if you jump in, fully clothed." I looked down at the lit-up pool, "$50 is $50." He said before stepping back and cannon balling in the pool. I hurriedly stepped back before he splashed me, "Chris! I didnt mean literally!" I giggled, he scoffed then asked with a worried face, "I still get the money right?" "Yes, a deal is a deal. I'll venmo you later." I giggled, watching him get out of the pool and wring his clothes.

Chris and I walked back into the house, "Ugh I hate the smell of alcohol." He gagged, "I knowww." I dragged out the 'w', I looked around for matt when I saw him.

He was talking to the same girl as earlier, without nick. It was a harmless conversation, until the girl cupped matts face and kissed him. I saw matts shocked expression, I slapped chris' shoulder I heard him groan until he looked where I was looking. Matts eyes were still open, he hurriedly pushed the girl off and said something to her, chris scoffed and grabbed my arm, leading me out of the part and to the pool again.

"That bitch." Chris sat down on the ledge of the pool and put his feet down in the pool, "I cant tell if he was distressed or he liked it." I felt tears well up in my eyes, I quickly wiped my eyes. "I mean he did push her away?" Chris pointed out, "Yes but he did that like 30 seconds in the kiss! Chris thats far too long!" I croaked, the tears only flowing more.

Chris looked at me, then looked back at the water. "Ill talk to him, just dont leave or do some stupid shit, please?" He stood up and crouched next to me. I nodded my head, I wiped my eyes, "Pinky promise?" He held out his pinky. I giggled and interlocked our pinkies. "Alright, ill be back." He kissed the top of my head and sped walk into the house.

Matts pov

Nick left to go talk to his friends, leaving me to talk to this girl.

In the middle of our conversation the girl cupped my cheeks and kissed me, it took me a minute to process what she was doing. I hurriedly shoved her off and exclaimed "What the fuck!" She looked away, tears welling in her eyes. "Why'd you do that!? What the fuck!" I yelled, I turned and looked for solstice, I saw chris and her outside. Chris kissed the top of her head and was speed walking towards me, literal smoke fuming from his ears. I looked at the girl "Fuck off." I hissed, the tears only flowed more.

"Matt! Why would you kiss that girl!?" Chris stormed up to me. He punched my chest, hard. "I fucking didnt! She kissed me first, with no permission might I add!" I defended myself, he rolled his eyes "Solstice fucking saw you and now shes bawling her eyes out matt!" He yelled, motioning his hands to a very distressed solstice sat on the pool ledge, her knees up to her chest and her face hidden in her legs.

"Fuck.." I muttered, I shoved past chris and sped walk to solstice.

I could hear her muffled sobs, I walked up towards her and sat next to her. I placed a hand on her back and rubbed it. "Go away." She pushed my hand off her back, "Solstice, I didnt kiss her-" solstice cut me off, "Then why would I be fucking crying right now? Or why didnt you push her off earlier!" She argued, she lifted her head from her knees. She had very puffy and red eyes, "Solstice please let me explain.." I whispered, now on the verge of tears. "No matt! I already got the explanation earlier!" She huffed, she stood up abruptly and ran to chris.

"Fuck..." I groaned, I balled my fist up and punched it into the cement floor. "Fuck!" I muttered, I examined my knuckles and met very bloody and bruised knuckles.

A/N I srsly dont know how to go on from this, but bc im a good author and I didnt want the story to be boring I added some angst and now im clueless 😍😍

I also went to an ice dogs game today with my bff and her family. Almost ten fights broke out, one or two were so close to actually being a fight, bro istg that game was so stressful bc the ice dogs (my team) only scored once and kept fucking missing their shoots, so in results the other fucking team won. My dad said I couldnt go next weekend bc I have to spend time with my family, id rather stress over hockey than be with his bitchass
