Couple weeks later

It's been some time since solstice told me what she wanted, shes been visiting regularly— like she used to. And she seems more happy, genuinely happy.

Ive been planning to ask her something for a while, I was actually gonna ask after our last party, but then that happened. So I couldnt, but at least I can plan it more and better.

For now I've decided that im going to take her out on a nice date, then we'll go watch the sunset together, then ill pop the question!

I texted solstice saying "Wear something nice, im picking you up at 6" it sounds a bit demanding, but ive read the books shes read and theres lots of time they've said something lime that.

I sat at my desk and planned out how the night would go. I ran an anxious hand through my hair and grabbed a notebook and pencil before brainstorming ideas. Whilst also building up the courage to ask her.

Solstice's pov

Matt had told me to get ready and wear something nice, and shit I think hes gonna pop the question! Ive already planned what i'd wear.

A dark, silky red dress. My hair is curled and set neatly against my head and shoulders. Ive also already chosen my heels, they're black, nothin' special.

Ive been sitting at my vanity for about an hour now, trying to perfect my makeup.

Fuck, he might not ask the question. Thats fine! Ill do it, if he wont I will. How would I ask though, "Oh hey.. do you wanna be my boyfriend?" "Hey matt. Wanna be my boyfriend?" "Wassup dawg, wanna be my boyfriend."

I sighed, checking the time. Shit, shit, shit I repeated while rushing my makeup. I had fucking five minutes until he got here! I hurried and perfected my mascara before grabbing my phone. I walked to my closet deciding on if I wear a jacket or not?

Fuck it, if im cold? Im cold. If I wear a jacket it'll ruin this beautiful outfit!

I ran downstairs, cautiously as I was still wearing heels.

Surprisingly he made it exactly on time. I opened the door to be met with a very anxious yet excited matt with a bouquet of roses in his hand. I immediately smiled, feeling a warmth on my cheeks.

"Matt! I love flowers! Thank you so much!" I grinned, grabbing the flowers and admiring them, "You're welcome, but we've gotta go I made a reservation and we have to be there in thirty minutes." He hurriedly said. I placed the flowers on the counter before grabbing a vase and filling water with it, then adding the flowers to it.

I set it on the kitchen island, adding the perfect touch to it.

I walked over to matt, placing a kiss on his cheek before walking to his van.

He beat me to the door and opened it for me, with a stupid smirk on his face, the whole fucking time.

Time skip

I sat down in my seat, after matt had pulled it out for me. I really do love when hes a gentleman, but sometimes id like to do things myself. But am I gonna say something to him about it? Fuck no, I dont wanna hurt his feelings.

The restaurant was dim. It had dark brown wooden chairs with a dark pink-redish cushion. There were many vines covering some places of the restaurant, and many lights and lanterns. It wasnt a very bright restaurant, but a rather dim restaurant.

He ordered a fettuccini pasta (I dont like fettuccini so pls correct me if I wrote the name wrong 💀) I ordered a plain ol' burger with fries, just cause im a picky bitch, and majority of things on the menu I couldnt even pronounce.

"So.. what are your plans for after highschool?" I asked, breaking the silence between us. He looked at me, "Eh, i dont know. What about you?" He ran a hand through his hair, fuck that was so hot.

"I dont know, I guess I wanna go to college and do something. But my dream job is to be a violinist." I said before cracking my knuckles.

"Thats fun, me and my brothers are gonna continue youtube." He looked around for the waiter. "Oh speaking of! Hows it going with youtube? I havent watched a video in a while." I asked, resulting in him dramatically gasping and putting a hand on his heart, as if his heart broke.

"Ok, im sorry! But ive been so busy." I made an excuse, knowing damn well I havent been busy at all. "Been busy with what? Kisssing me? Laying in MY bed?" He vocalized 'my' just to point out the fact that its his bed ive been sleeping in.

"Ok ok, but that is not a crime." I said, before laughing, his eyes darted across my face, examining my features, his eyes full of love and affection.

Time skip

"Ok, so I figured after the date we'd go stargazing— of course if thats okay with you." He started the van, then quickly assured me that it was up to me.

"Yes matt, of course I'll go stargazing with you." I laughed, before buckling up. He sighed of relief and drove off.

Time skip

He stopped the car, and hopped out quickly running to my door and opening it for me. "Oh why thank you," I joked before gracefully stepped out of the van.

I waited for him whilst he shut my door and locked the van. He turned around, and smiled at me, grabbed my hand, interlocking our before strutting away to a hill.

"Alright, here we are!" He sat down, on an already laid down blanket, he sat crisscrossed apple sauce and patted the space next to him. I plopped down beside him and looked up at the sky.

"Look matt! Those stars shape out a line." I cheerfully exclaimed before pointing to a random spot in the night sky.

He didnt reply, so I turned to look at him. His eyes were already on me, "You look beautiful tonight," he said just above a whisper, my cheeks went hot from his sudden compliment.

"Solstice, I really like you, if you cant already tell. But I want to take things to another level with you— can I be your boyfriend please?" He asked, admiring my eyes.

My breath hitched in my throat and my cheeks went even hotter and pinker. "Yes!" I placed a soft kiss against his lips before getting up and jumping around.

"You act like I just proposed to you." He laughed, "Fuck! You basically did!" I spun around while still jumping.

He got up and jumped up and down with me, spinning and dancing with me.

A/N I rlly didnt know how to stretch this chapter out (it took me almost four days.) I hope y'all enjoyed the book tho!! The first couple of chapters were shit and im so very thankful you guys didnt give up on me!! I love you all so very much, I cant thank you enough for the support ive gotten.
